Doesn't that sound a whole lot better than open borders, squishiness on pro-life, unconstitutional assaults on free speech, closing Gitmo and bringing the terrorists to the US for tria, ending aggressive interrogation, new global warming restrictions, a record of blockign conservative judges, and the like?

Been there once before with Ross Perot; the likelihood of winning is ZERO, all the while ensuring the election of Broom Hilda or B.O. in Nov is guaranteed.

I can’t hold my nose tightly enough to vote for McCain and I hope he is NOT the next president. I believe a President McCain will do far more damage to conservative principles such as fiscal responsibility and adherence to the Constitution than Bush has done. But if there is a suitable alternative candidate or party for such principles then I don’t know where to find them.
Good luck convincing the voting public to support those ideas.

we support passage of a federal marriage Amendment to the U.S. Constitution for the purpose of removing any confusion or misunderstanding in the minds of judges. So, the federal government should be the arbiter of morals? Isn't the (correct) argument re Roe v Wade that the federal government has no business legislating morality? Isn't that a matter to be left (sink or swim) to the states? Isn't that what federalism is all about? Isn't that how we got into this mess in the first place? And now the Independent Party wants to use the same force of the federal government to enforce its version of morality?

Is this the Independent party that Lou Dobbs supports on his TV and radio program?
