Conservative vote? You mean we've got a conservative candidate among the terrible turds in the front running for president now? Who is it? Is "it" a republican or democrat?

The conservative vote won't be "split"...because it's already been decimated.

I wouldn't be caught dead voting for a democrat, although I've heard that it is possible to be a dead person and vote for a democrat. Neither will I vote for Juan McPain. I'll pencil in a "better" choice, and right now my dead, leg humping dog is a better choice than any of them. Of course I'll find somebody better than my dead dog. But such is the state of "conservative politics" at the moment.

People can wave their GOP flags and talk about the "win", but even if McPain wins, he'll go right back to being cozy with the likes of Ted (hic!) Kennedy, and Feingold and we'll get screwed, but at least we'll get kissed because our man will be a "conservative". Maybe some people will feel better because of it, but it just doesn't do much for me. Abuse of power is abuse of power, whether the tyrant is of the same political party or not, and so far McCain's historical record would show that he's got habits that are pretty much incompatible with conservatism. But hey, let's all smile and sing "Kum-by-ya" because he's a REPUBLICAN....right? :-)

There is NO good for us in the coming presidential elections no matter how we analize it. People might as well come to terms with it now and at least be walking in knowledge that we're going to fare poorly for what's coming...rather than cheer "go team go" and hope blindly and then be all heart broken because we weren't courageous enough to admit the truth to begin with.

But as for a split conservative vote...we're way past that.

I love these posts that imply that the GOP is somehow entitled to the conservative vote. Kind of like a welfare entitlement.

Sorry. Political parties have to EARN votes. If the GOP is concerned about earning the votes of conservatives, it can do that by running better candidates. I suggest starting with the top of ticket.
