Notorious D.C. Madam Debra Palfrey, whose long list of powerful prostitution clients kept the nation's lawmakers quaking, was murdered!
That's the buzz rocking the Internet and filtering through political circles after she was found hanging by a nylon rope in a shed next to her mother's home in Tarpon Springs, Fla., earlier this month.
Just weeks before her death, Palfrey, 52, had been found guilty of running a call-girl service that catered to Washington's power brokers.
She faced four to six years in prison and was stated to be sentenced on July 24 but was appealing the vereict.
So far, police are treating Palfrey's death as a suicide--but suspicions run rampant that she was killed to prevent her from naming clients.
"This was a woman who was still appealing," wrote an Internet poster. "Why would she kill herself if she was trying to clear her name? She had big-name clients. Any one of them could have easily had her killed. It happens."
Hustler magazine pulbisher Larry Flynt, who was one of Palfrey's strongest supporters, believes she was murdered and says the medis "should be very cautious in treating this as a suicide."
Louisiana senator and father of four David Vitter has already admitted being a client of Palfrey's escort service.
Sources say she was in a position to being several other Washington bigwigs to heel.
National security expert and journalist Wayne Madsen claims Vice President Dick Cheney is among the heavy-weights on Palfrey's list.
"This case smells," a Beltway insider tells GLOBE.
"It's just too convenient. She knew she could ruin a number of D.C.'s biggest players--and they knew it too!"

If the suicide notes, which are online, she left to her mother and sister (two notes) are forgeries, then maybe it wasn’t suicide.
She had a very odd, juvenile way of writing so it should be quite easy to determine if they’re authentic. She refers quite specifically to killing herself (specifically, but not in so many words).
They also broke many details on the OJ murders before anyone else. When you throw money at something it can pay off.
Why would anyone tarp a hill? Just what are they trying to cover up? Sounds suspicious to me.
The Post, Times, etc., also have a vested interest in protecting specific candidates. The Enquirer, primarily working in celebrity world, has no such problems. They’ll hammer whoever. Since losing a massive lawsuit a few years ago, they’re very careful about accuracy. This story, however, broke in the Globe, a periodical with far less of a record for accuracy.
I thought that the ‘tell’ was when the Sheriff declared it ‘a suicide’ while the investigation was in progress.
Usually the remarks are “Until the investigation is complete, I can neither confirm nor deny”.
The only guaranteed suicide I know of, is one where there is a witness.
I think he should "stitch" them.
It’s what I do when I’m having a bad day.
That’s right...they showed pictures of OJ in his “ugly *ss shoes” that he claimed he’d never wear.
Funny you guys are talking about it...I was just gettin’ ready to do that yesterday; but I didn’t finish. I remembered that the dishes weren’t done yet.
What reputation? If it came out that Bill Clinton was her best customer, would anyone be shocked? Hell, would anyone even be surprised?
Actually, Larry Flynt has been quoted as saying, before Palfrey was eliminated from the equation, that there are more Democrats on the list than Republicans. Of course, this quote wasn’t widely discussed in the media.
No feet under that stalls there, for sure.
All three are scum bags, for sure.
With his double barreled Singer?
She held information in her mind and on paper that could indict and possibly convict many Clinton-era government types.
I know she was strangled to death, and then her body was strung up to make it look like she hanged herself.
Don't ever, EVER cross the Clintons and their subordinates.
They destroy people.
“Women always go into a toolshed to hang themselves.”
Not to be crass but most women wouldn’t be caught dead in a tool shed.
Since nations' "leaders" have been offing inconvenient folk since time immemorial, one shouldn't be surprised that when someone who could ruin people's lives suddenly commit's "suicide", people smell a rat.
“I know she was strangled to death, and then her body was strung up to make it look like she hanged herself.”
Proof? You seem to be 100% certain about your theory.
The less evidence there is of a conspiracy, the more it proves that, in fact, a conspiracy exists. /s/
Besides, I believe most women choose pills to CTB.
Maybe down in FL, her contacts were lacking?
