Thank God you are safe.
I got it. Thanks.
Prayers you are OK..Check in if you can.
We just went on tornado watch for the Atlanta area....
You’ve violated the “no personal attacks” policy twice now. I haven’t attacked you personally and wouldn’t think of it.
Thanks but we dodged these storms completely. I live in Norman, home of the National Weather Service and Storms Prediction Center but we had a beautiful day except the wind picked up tonight. The original watch area started one county east of us this morning when they first started sending out warnings it was going to be a nasty day.
With the new facilities, the NWS is even better equipped to get out the early warnings. This afternoon we were driving by the airport in Norman commenting about the new radars they have up now compared to several years ago not even thinking what was about to happen.
They did have several tornadoes hit north of OKC this week. Been a very active year so far.
Take care. Do your reporting from the basement:’)
So ban me.
I have some really good friends in the Stuttgart, Brinkley & Redfield, AR areas. Don’t want to call and tie up lines that are needed for emergency services so I’ll be on this thread for a while.
I’m on the coast in SC and they’re saying that we’re in for strong storms starting during the night and all day tomorrow.
Those alerts are spreading fast. I just looked at the radar and the alerts had gone into Alabama and totally out of OK. Stay safe and stay tuned for the weather since it looks like it will hit there in the middle of the night.
I cannot believe looking at radar how big these storms are getting.
I guess you’re entitled to share your opinion considering your vast experience on FR of UNDER ONE MONTH.
These storms are surprisingly lethal. And they’re going to continue all night...
This coming from a Texan.... worries and prayers up.
Sorry about the troll on the thread.
Thanks for that.
I’ve been accused of being one of the biggest pricks on FR from time to time.
Glad to give up the title.
Reporting now 14 deaths in Picher and 6 confirmed deaths in Newton County MO.
Previously on news requesting anyone with a pickup to please report to Picher to take “walking injured” to hospital.
Now requesting no one to enter area. Emergency vehicles are unable to manipulate due to “sight seers”.
Dude, it's 9:48 pm central on a Saturday night. Having a region wide tornado thread listed as breaking news right now is hardly a crime against FR humanity. Give it a rest. Re-read your own tagline and think about it. BTW, welcome to FR- and I mean that.
FWIW- This New Englander is hoping for the best for all of you folks in the effected areas.
How sad! I was wondering, do not many people down that way have basements or other safe shelter? Just curious.
Great...now we are in a Tornado warning....OK Okie Momma...I am out of here....
14 dead?
source please(I believe you I just need a source before i post on other boards)
If it is like Texas..there are no basements in residences.
