"...including once in a White House room reserved for "military aides with overnight duties."

I'm Shocked!

If you read the article - it sounds like he has already been demoted.

He HAD a 3 star rank - Vice Admiral.

The article, in many places, calls him Rear Admiral. A 1 star admiral is a Rear Admiral, Lower Half (please ...no bad jokes!!), while a 2 star admiral is a Rear Admiral, Upper Half.

Flag rank doesn’t have the same retirement guarantees, and mid-deeds can cause loss of rank. Admiral Kimmel was blamed for the loss of so many ships at Pearl Harbor (7Dec41) and was retired with loss of 1 star.

Mike

“Mr Costanza, it has been brought to my attention that you had sex with the cleaning lady on my desk”.

“Waaaas that wrong? Because, to be honest, I have to plead ignorance, because you know, with some offices, that's completely acceptable”.

“Your fired”.

The "code" I was referring to - was the "Honor Code", under which EVERY Midshipman swears:

"A Midshipman does not lie, cheat, steal, or engage in any activity which would compromise the integrity and security of his or her conscience, the well-being of the unit, or the values of the United States Navy and Marine Corps."

This is NOT "martial law" -- it is simply a CODE OF CONDUCT , I believe we should ALL be held to...

The fact that too many folks find this Code of Conduct "sheer nonsense" goes a long way toward explaining the degradation of modern society...

We've become a thug culture - following the "code" of a lower form of animal than honorable human beings...

"Why didn’t the guy just say that he cannot recall that far back?"

I don't know, but I have to admit I believe him when he says he can't remember her name. The affair apparently began in '89 overseas and ended in '90. That's pushing 20 yrs. ago. I hope nobody is digging through my previous life to nail me for something I did that long ago because I probably couldn't remember enough from that far back to defend myself.

The weird part of this thing was I recognized his name from someplace, the face looked familiar, and finally at the very end of the article it says where I would have seen him on the tube.

Any boy such as the POS that has to tell lies to women in order to get a roll in the hay, in this day and age, deserves to be shot.

In one Congressional investigation Hillary told the Congressmen, “ I have no independent recollection of that” about 233 times. Worked for her.

How does his interest in porn detract from his fitness to fight and lead troops?

Why is it anyone’s business?

It’s really quite simple. Government computer, government time, taxpayers dime plus if this individual is addicted to porn he’s psychologically unfit for command. Flag officers are held to a much higher standard than a horny, pimply faced, 18 year old seaman recruit.

Call the army’s general officer management office...GOMO. they used to have a hotline to take concerns like yours.

If the Commander in Chief can do it in the White House...why can’t an admiral?

Remember that this happened in 1990/91. It is said that (until that time) the last time a CinC did it in the WH was JFK in 1963.

Someone mentioned that I need to be absolutly certian. I only have what I have been told by a family member. So I am going to tell them it is their job to take care if it.

good post-—funny, how so many up and coming? freepers just make jokes about such acts by our ‘supposed’ leaders and never call folks like you and I on anything we say that asks our nations so-called leaders to act like leaders-—I am just an old WW2 vet but I know for sure if my countrymen had acted the as ‘leaders’and many citizens do today we would all be speaking Japanese of German (maybe both)—God Help America if we ever get into a real, knockdown fight in the future

So what. Is this woman somehow a victim? She gets talked into the sack, 20 years ago, and absolutely must cooperate with an investigation to nail the Admiral. Yes, it must be her shining example of integrity that makes her the moral police for the US Military. Ridiculous.
