There is no federal law banning states from admitting illegal immigrants to colleges and universities, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. The statement contradicts a letter issued this week by the North Carolina Attorney General, who advised the State Community College System that federal law prohibits the admission of illegal immigrants to public colleges and universities. "The Department of Homeland Security does not require any school to determine a student's status," the department said.

Exactly right. Meanwhile we’re paying ever-increasing taxes for prison incarceration, bankrupt public school districts, insolvent hospitsls forced to cut back public emergency services, social welfare costs and the ravages of the drug cartel.
You got that right.
I was listening to talk radio here in SoCal, John and Ken, KFI 640, and they had on the wife of one of the border patrol men.
She was telling the story of how her boy, 8, was not well and she did not have health insurance, nor did she qualify for Medicaid, because she had a car worth $2,000. They would not admit her boy even though he was very ill, had been for four days, and argued with her for almost an hour, demanding that she pay $1,000 before they would admit her son for care. He was dehydrated, unable to keep food down and his kidneys were hurting and her doctor had sent her to the hospital to be admitted because he needed care, now.
So, how many Americans have DIED trying to get care while illegals have gotten in free? I would bet it has happened, and that the middle class American this has happened to doesn’t have the means to fight back. Count on it.
A terrible incident, indeed. By the way, my favoite “substitute teacher” when Rush is away is Roger Hedgecock who broadcasts from San Diego and has some first-hand tales about the horror of the illegals in CA. I wish he was syndicated and we could get him here in FL. Do you listen to him?
The “border patrol men” are federal employees. Hard to find one without health insurance.
I think Roger is on coast-to-coast on Saturdays. You could check his website www.rogerhedgecock.com.
You can definately email from that site and ask.
Absolutely. Did you see my post #15? In my opinion, those who swear a solemn oath to protect and defend the Constitution, yet who facilitate the illegal invasion, are liable to impeachment.
Thanks very much - I’ll check it out.
Yeah, I thought of that.
But what happens when the fed employee is in jail?
I would think that if she had insurance that she would have said so. But she didn’t have insurance. I doubt that she is lying. The John and Ken Show here is big, and has enemies. I don’t think she could get away with it if she really had insurance and was lying about what happened to her.
Sometimes. If I listened to everyone that I wanted to, I would get nothing done. LOL!!
He is good to listen to when I get the chance.
Same with me. There are a lot of great talk show hosts out there - Rush, Hannity, Levin, etc. - but for some reason that guy resonates with me. Maybe his legal background gives him that incisive, clear and concise delivery(?)
Agreed, but who will do that job? Everyone we elect to Congress or the White House quickly sets about selling the citizens out to foreign nations and peoples.
This would be a good year to elect a black, or a woman, or a veteran to the White House, but not one who is a communist, a socialist, or a back-stabbing anti-American RINO. Yet these are our current options, and I'm being gentle with my assessment.
As for the House and Senate, we are likely to lose Republican seats, and most of those who remain will be left of center. I don't see any avenue for gradually pushing the country back toward constitutional sanity. Barring a miracle, we're headed for some very dark times politically and economically.
Registration ordinarily requires provision of a social security number.
Consequentally, the schools are going to know that the illegals are, in fact, illegals.
They can't plead ignorance.
taking spots in colleges throwing Americans out. An American mind is ok to waste in favor of Illegal aliens.
I totally agree. It’s going to be a “time of troubles” for Republicans/conservatives. Aside from all the other problems - a shaky economy, the unpopularity of the recent tax-and-spend Republican Congress, an unpopular war, etc. - the base is very UNENTHUSIASTIC about McCain. I hear about the “lesser of two evils” all the time. But the fact is when you choose the “lesser,” you’re still choosing evil; and that never motivates people to get out and vote or work for a candidate.
Logically, you’re right. But from all I’ve heard it can take months, even years, to validate a phony SS number. That’s because ICE and Social Security don’t cooperate. And this assumes the thousands of schools even report the number. This is why the illegal lobby is opposed to Real ID - it eliminates the “wall” and facilitates the process of validation.
