I highly respect and honor Senator McCain for the hell he went through as a POW, he truly is what makes me proud of our military and veterans! :*)

(Unfortunately I do have a bone to pick with him over his ‘moderate’ (i.e. liberal) leanings in so many areas...)

Ditto;
I just wanted at least some sort of halfway positive news versus the typical bash fests. (No, I don’t support McCain politically)

I too appreciate John McCains service to his country.

I lauded McCain, and tolerated his McCain Feingold faux pas. But what he did in organizing the "Gang of 14" and derailing the conservative agenda,McCains backroom politics against Tom DeLay, will forever cancel any gratitude I feel in relation to his service to our nation.I respect his service, but I cannot support him unless forced.

I still hold hope that McCain will be somehow replaced by a conservative at the Republican convention.Duncan Hunter will do.Or even Collin Powell. Perhaps McCain will destroy himself by having a "McCain moment" in public.
