My Response To The RNC Letter Asking For A Donation
May 7, 2008 | LaserLock

Yesterday, I received a letter from Tim Morgan, the RNC Treasurer, asking for a donation. I was disgusted by the tone of the letter and decided to respond to him.

*************************************************

Dear Mr. Morgan,
I am insulted and offended by your letter. How dare you try to insinuate that I abandoned the Republican Party.

Please understand the facts, it was not me who abandoned the Republican Party, it was the leadership that abandoned the core principles of the Republican Party.

Your letter asks for a donation because you want to stop the Democrats. That’s not a convincing argument.
First let me know what the leadership stands for and then I’ll decide if I want to donate. Also:

I absolutely and completely reject all of your arguments that say we need to put President Ronald Reagan behind us. It was President Reagan who actually believed in our core principles, ran on them, and enacted them.

Help me out here Mr. Morgan. Why should I give the RNC any of my hard earned money, and I don’t have a lot of it.
Please explain to me why there is no one from the Republican Party talking about our core principles.
What do you actually believe in.

Until you can address my questions and concerns you will continue to not hear from me.

If you have the courage and want to contact me, feel free and do so.

All the best,

How about posting the RNC letter? Esp. considering the “getting past Regan” thing.

I always find it interesting how people take in information and distort it into something it's not. You know, like saul alinsky and the democrats.

Your feeble attempt to frame me and the other posters is typical of a newspaperman who tried strutting his stuff but failed miserably. You probably stunk the joint up. At least Dan Rather made millions of dollars doing it.

Your comment, "To not support the only party that has any chance of continuing to be a countervailing force to the Democrats......is not a virture.", again shows that you missed the point.

Is that all you want to be, a countervailer. Is that your virtue in life. C'mon mtntop3, don't you have any core beliefs. Don't you have any values. Are you that shallow of a person. Maybe all you want and care about is to strut your stuff on this forum.

Because being only a countervailer, in the end, makes one a useless idiot.

Do I have to spell it out for you.
Can't you make the leap of faith.

What you wrote doesn't pass the smell test.
