Washington, D.C. (May 7, 2008) -- Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) Executive Director Matt Brooks issued the followed statement today:
"The just released Gallup poll of Jewish voters is another important indicator of the ongoing troubles Barack Obama has with Jewish voters. In the poll of Jewish voters (conducted April 1-30), it showed Obama getting only 61% of the Jewish vote against John McCain (32%). By comparison, in 2004, John Kerry received 75% of the Jewish vote and George W. Bush received 25%. The recent polling numbers demonstrate Obama's weakness among Jewish voters. This data comes on the heels of the exit poll data from the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania. Hillary Clinton beat Obama among Jewish voters 62% - 38%," said Brooks. "These results show that the American Jewish community is troubled by what they know of Barack Obama, his views and his positions. The RJC remains confident that John McCain will continue the trend of the GOP making inroads among Jewish voters."
Well, 61% is better than 80%, and I am hoping to see it go down a little more.
So what percentage of Jewish Voters should one have before it is not considered a weakness?
Seems like a ridiculous statement.
Do Jewish Voters want to be a monolith block like African Americans? I guess so.
lol @ “only 61%”.
61% of brain dead idiots.
There’s only one state I can envision this being a problem for Obama and that state is Florida.
Far too many Jews believe that they have the "moral high-ground" by being victims. And far too many don't mind making OTHER people the victims, so they don't feel bad about themselves. And far too many Jews see their primary "religion" as being liberalism.

Very simple. Many American Jews follow footsteps of their parents without thinking twice.I’m a Jew,who was born in USSR,raised in Israel(military service included-elite unit)live in US for almost 30 years(US citizen),always will be Republican. Thanks God,there is many more like me.
Well, I’m not in NY but here goes.
Jews by their nature tend to be idealistic—they want to make the world better. Idealists tend to vote RAT. IOW, this idealism overrides their intelligence and they foolishly vote against their own interests.
Jews in Israel can’t afford to be idealistic—reality is staring them in the face. So they don’t have a head full of crazy idealistic ideas like Jews here do.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Not enough to make a difference. If Obama wins as most claim, the Jews and Israel are about to learn what it is to have a US opposed to the state of Israel. As the saying goes, “the chickens are coming home to roost.”
“Jews in Israel cant afford to be idealisticreality is staring them in the face. So they dont have a head full of crazy idealistic ideas like Jews here do.”
Then why in hell did they elect Olmert?
I don't think they did. Wasn't he appointed?
“I don’t think they did. Wasn’t he appointed?”
His party was elected the majority, and everyone knew he would get the office once the party got the votes. Thus, when the electorate knows who gets the office if the party gets the majority, the electorate is pretty muich voting for the person who is slated for the office when they vote for the party.
