Obama Camp Urges Superdelegates: “Bring This to a Close” (Kerry blames Rush Limbaugh)
CBS News ^ | May 7, 2008 | Maria Gavrilovic

Obama supporters Sen.John Kerry, D-Mass., and Gov. Janet Napolitano, D-Ariz., argue that the superdelegates now have a responsibility to move the nominating process forward. “Obama has shown he can win across the board and now its time for superdelegates to bring this to a close,” Napolitano said. Obama is expected to meet with undecided superdelegates tomorrow in Washington.

Kerry said that it is the responsibility of the superdelegates to ensure that the Democratic Party will be unified at the convention in August, and suggested that Obama could have won the Indiana primary last night if it was not for the Republicans. “I think if it hadn’t been for Republicans taking Democratic ballots he likely would have won in Indiana too,” Kerry said. “Rush Limbaugh was tampering with the primary and the GOP has clearly declared that they want Hillary Clinton as a candidate.”

And go down to defeat playing Obama's second fiddle? Can't see it myself.

Think like a Clinton - she would be one unfortunate event from the office - one "accidental" crash - one assassination attempt - one chicken bone lodged in the throat. Possible??? I doubt it too, but if its evil the Clintons thought of it first!

In the words of Begala - African Americans and eggheads.

These threads are funny. “I know ‘Operation Chaos’ was a success because all the Democrats are saying so!” LOL!

So many people here are beyond pathetic. Several prominent Democrats are, with the help of FReepers and Rush, diverting the attention from the real Dem infighting, Obama’s slide because of Wright and blaming the outcome of it on Rush Limbaugh, with his blessings.

Some here are gullible to the point of idiocy. Thats what happens when people bow to some radio actor/sportscaster wannabe and look to him to do all their thinking.

That’s my read from watching the speeches and interviews today. VP. I don’t think they planned to undermine him as the nominee, just the opposite. That’s why they’ve attacked him so heavily, and alienated the black community—they always knew that if she lost then “Bill and Hillary” will become B. H. O. biggest cheerleaders. Watch the convention, Bill will be the show along with Obama.

He may not want to put her on the ticket, but with her showing he may have to. That may be the reason for her sticking around, spending additional money, etc., to shore up her stake on the VP.

Why doesn’t John F’n (Swiftboat) Kerry blame the enabler MSM because they did not properly research and portray publicly the strengths and weaknesses of Obama. That is their job for crying out loud.

The libs and MSM did this to themselves, IMHO. All Rush did was add a little fuel to the fire that the Rats started in the first place, making their dishonesty work against them.

And my devious side asks, why is she still running? One reason?: To keep him on the road, and making public appearances?

"The primary process needs to be changed. All states need to be voting within say a month or two of each other."

There might be quite a few Democrats wishing this were so about now. But the Democrats, in their fevered logic, changed their primaries and now it has backfired on them. It has been a long expensive exhausting primary, yielding little of value. And in the middle of this, Operation Chaos was launched!

I am curious if the leaders of the Democrats will change it back to a winner take all primary, and if the Democrats tighten up the bulk of the primaries.

If it were just a slide because of Wright then he had bounced back by taking North Carolina by 10 points and only losing by 2 in Indiana.

Wasn’t it the Democrats who started trumpeting that every vote should count after the Florida presidential voting fiasco in 2000?

"Can we Wascally Wepublicans help it if the DAP (Dumb-Ass Party) permit anybody to vote in their primaries?"

The Democrats have manipulated and changed their primaries to the point of absurdity. And now, the result is CHAOS!

I would further point out that this primary is a classic case of:

"when you're up to your ass in alligators, it is hard to remember that your original intention is to drain the swamp."

Clintons now hate Obama

Hussein and his bitter wife seriously need to watch six, trust nobody, and stay the heck out of Ft. Marcy Park.

Why should it be brought to a close? Why shouldn’t it go to the convention? Isn’t that what conventions are for?

Note to John Kerry: Sir you should become the VP for BH Obama

Beside if you don't try hard and apply yourself, you might get stuck with McCain as his VP.

McCain / Kerry - now that's scary!

LOL The Superdelegates have every right to ask Obama why he hasn’t already brought this to a close himself.
