Get well soon Mike. You are a major credit to Freepdom and I remember you very fondly from the Elian days.

Never doubt the power of prayer. Freepers prayed for me years ago because of chest pains, and even when the doctors told me that I had cardio-vascular disease, the prayers continued. Finally a ‘smart’ doctor figured out that the pain and discomfort was from acid reflux instead. I have no doubt that it was a result of the answered prayers instead.

There is nothing that prayers can’t do, and you have mine and my families to help you along.

Stay positive and fight.

UPDATE FROM REDROCK, (from 5/15) printed with permission.........

They are trying to get his pain under control so he can eat and function. Absolute worst pain he's ever had (on a scale of 1-10.....it’s 15).

They told him that radiation on the esophagus actually (severly) burns the inside of the esophagus. Right now he has ‘on demand’ type of pain control. They are working on changing over to an oral medication so maybe he can go home...even tho he says this is the NICEST Hospital he's ever seen.

His words..."and this is one awesome Hospital. When you can eat regular food (which they just allowed me today to do) you order from a Menu...(Room Service)..from one of the Restaurants in the Hospital. NO HOSPITAL FOOD!!! You can get things like Buffalo hamburgers....several kinds of steak...and even salmon (not that I can eat any of that with my throat). But the Italian food I just had was really good.

Still...I would rather be home.

Let everyone know that I can feel the prayers and I am forever in their debt. I love ya all.
