(CNN) The core of Hillary Clintons argument to superdelegates has been her electability that she is the candidate most likely to beat presumptive Republican nominee John McCain in November. But according to exit polls, voters dont share that view.
In Indiana, Democratic primary voters were equally split over who was most likely to beat McCain, with both drawing 48 percent. And in North Carolina, voters gave the edge to Barack Obama: 54 percent thought he was more likely to win in November, while 40 percent [...]

I respectfully disagree. If we were just talking about the young voters who are always supposed to show up but never do, then I’d agree, but Obama is energizing African Americans like never before. I’ve never seen that group so motivated. McCain isn’t going to motivate anyone.
I hope I’m wrong.
Yes, assuming black vote goes to Obama by 94-6 or so, and represents 13-14% of total turnout (this is high, but gonna happen this time), Obama can lose the white vote by 15% and still win the election.
I think in the end he loses the white vote 45-55 and wins the election by 3 or 4 points.
Obama Wins NC- Update: Obama Wants To Talk To al-Qaeda
*************************EXCERPT***********************
UPDATE
Obama gave his victory speech in NC and began it with his usual divisive talk about the rich and the poor ..and then accuses the right of being divisive THEN to top it all off he stated that Roosevelt talked to Hitler and Tojo.

The other side can label and name-call all they want, but I trust the American people to recognize that its not surrender to end the war in Iraq so that we can rebuild our military and go after al Qaedas leaders. I trust the American people to understand that its not weakness, but wisdom to talk not just to our friends, but our enemies like Roosevelt did, and Kennedy did, and Truman did.
How else to interpret this then he wants to talk to al-Qaeda?

"Game Over, Man! GAME OVER -- !!!" ;)
...and don’t let the door hitcha aaaasss on the way out, Hill! For one thing, we don’t wanna replace the door just now. /rimshot!
Thanks Ernest. Oh, and okay, yeah, one more before bedtime.
After Obama gets crushed in November, Hillary will be:
A) saying “I told you so”
B) claiming it’s time to add MORE superdelegates
C) claiming that proportional delegate awards don’t make sense
D) all of the above
Precisely what the article is baldly stating, re: Clinton's oft-repeated contentions this past year, year-and-a-half or so, yes. ;)
Obama is scary as Hell....We need Ayers to come out and say that he hates America Too!
Hey, if you are a Christian The LORD may have already of taken care of that for you. I've got rapture fever. The way things look it may be much sooner than later. Of course if B. Hussein wins and Christians aren't "out of here" yet looking for another place to live that is most likely to be immuned to nukes might be a real good idea.
Slow down! Watch your tempo!
The election is six months away. Everything about Obama will come out.
He cannot win. I don't know why FReepers are so spooked (so to speak) by him.
He's just a silly little communist. If Hillary stays in, consider sending Obama $25 or so.
Look,if you McCain-o-phytes actually want to win by opposing the other guy, now is not the time to lose hope. You’ve already been defeated if you’re so pessimistic. Optimism brings voters, and voters win.
Exactly. If McCain loses (not an altogether bad scenario), it will be because of gloom-and-doom defeatism by his “supporters”.
If she’s Hussein’s VP, he’ll be painfully aware she’s only 9mm away from the Presidency. Nine millimeters is a small distance.
I think what this ongoing contest is showing is that both dem candidates are not very strong. Neither one can deliver a knockout punch to the other. These 51-49, 50-something to 40-something wins and losses by each candidate are showing that neither of them are considered strong or outstanding.
Yes we’re propping up Hillary but a “W” is a “W” and Florida and Michigan will be seated and Hillary takes all of Michigan, basically, and the majority of Florida. They both have many weak points and flaws and are essentially tied with delegates - a difference of 140 when you’re talking 3000+ delegates is hardly anything. Nobody’s been able to really pull ahead hard from the other. That’s why there’s no way Hillary’s giving up.
The liberals always leave off Neville Chamberlain, because he destroys the point.
I dunno, maybe we will, but I think Obama's questionable associations with men like Rev. Wright and Ayers don't really matter to many democrats, whereas they will matter to many Republicans.
I just want Obama to be the nominee so Hill can go back to the Senate, and maybe have to deal with her fellow dems' animosity for how she's damaged Barack for the GE.
Quote of the day! That's precisely how I feel.
This must be what it was like for our long, long agone ancestors, back in their homey, rustic little peasant villages... right after they all managed to herd/chase Frankenstein's Monster directly into the flaming windmill, and then stayed around afterwards to watch him burn.
And burn. ;)
Oh, he already has. Check out this NY Slimes article, for example (and pay special attention to its date consider who was heading for the airport as it was rolling off the presses).
I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of Billy Ayers this fall, courtesy of conservative 527s.
