I didn't call Fred a RINO, you did.

I simple said he threw his principles overboard.

To prove that, all you need to have done is have read his issus positions on his web-site.

On immigration alone, Fred was 180 degrees opposite of McCain.

Throw in Global Warming, drilling for Oil, and Health-care and the only way that Fred could support McCain is if he had thrown away his principles.

No my friend, it is your position on the issues and your actions that make you a Republican, not whether 35% of the GOP voters including cross-over Democrats and Independents voted for you.

As proof, I offer you John McCain's positions on the issues and various actions:

1. Gang of Fourteen (Kept some of President Bush’s best judges from being presented for a vote) See here and here
2. McCain-Fiengold (Assault on Free Speech and Pro-Life
3. McCain-Kennedy (Amnesty for criminal Illegal Aliens)
4. McCain-Lieberman (50 cents a gallon tax)
5. Total support for global warming scam, including the Carbon Cap-and-Trade system. See Here
6. Support for embryonic stem cell research (Murder of unborn babies).
7. Wants to close Gitmo and give Terrorists access to our legal system.
8. F grade from Gun-Owners of America.
9. C grade from NRA.
10. 65% score from American Conservative Union in 2006
11. Wants to bail out sub-prime losers (many of which are either illegal aliens or lied on thier applications) with US tax money.
12. Voted against President Bush’s tax cuts (called them tax-cuts for the rich)
13. Flirted with the idea of crossing over to the Dems in 2004.
14. Wants to implement a socialist Health Care proposal that includes providing tax-coffer monies (your tax dollars) to the states to provide Health Care Insurance for those who either refuse to pay for it, or are unable to afford it (mostly illegal aliens).
15. Divorced his wife after he got back from Vietnam. The same woman who remained true to him and raised his kids while he was imprisoned.
16. Refuses to drill in ANWR. See here and here
17. Agrees with Democrats that our Foreign Policy has been arrogant and we need to be more humble.
18. Thinks and states that Pharmaceutical companies are evil
19. Has accepted funding from Soros and Teresa Heinz-Kerry for his institute
20. John McCain's Top 10 Class-Warfare Arguments Against Tax Cuts
21 "I think the Democrat Party is a fine and I have no problems with it, in their views and philosophy"
22. Strongly against Same Sex Marriage Ban Constitutional Amendment
23. Voted for Pro-Abortion Bill and Here.
24. Voted against bill that would impose sanctions against foreign governments and companies that invest more than $20 million in Iran's energy sector until the president certified to Congress that Iran had dismantled its weapons of mass destruction Here and Here
25. Voted against repealing the death tax.
26. McCain-Edwards-Kennedy    (Many Democrat inspired bad rules included in this monstrosity)

I’m not the one who is willing to allow a Democrat to take the presidency out of spite.

Spite has nothing to with it, conservative principles has everything to do with it. (which you have proven by your posting to have none)

I am not willing to turn my party over to the Rockefeller "Greedy" Republicans who will drive my party back into a position of irrelevance and minority status.

Yawn. I didnt vote McCain in Texas but I will in November. Its a freebie “send a message” vote.

If McCain got 76% he is pretty well solidifying things,

“Keyes got 3%, that has to be his best showing.... like... ever...”

Bizarre. He campaigned in Texas and got under 1%. And I was one of them; I wanted to vote for the eloquent black man for change!
He tried for Constitution Party nomination and the kooks wouldnt take him!
I attribute his better showing to his doing zero campaigning. that must be it.

Do you know why Huckabee was on the ticket? (Or conversely, why was Romney not?)

” Come November, Republicans will be faced with a clear choice of McCain or Obama.

I believe that, given those choices, they will vote for the lesser of two evils.”

McCain is a good on many things.
It’s a choice between a bittersweet meal and ‘Rat poison.

“If McCain is good enough for Fred, why isn’t he good enough for you?”

They want to be in an elitist litmus-test conservative club.

I have a feeling that the McCain election will create pissy people on both extremes of the spectrum.

Illegals and our Mexico trade policies have shuttered quite a few N.C. plants.”

So how to they feel about Obama’s support for drivers licenses for illegals?
Or his vote against the border fence?
Or his amendment to double the chain migration rate?
Of his co-sponsoring the DREAM Act?

“Carolina has been hurt pretty bad in the past decade by pro-Mexico and Pro-Illegal trade politics in Washington DC”

Really? I guess Obamessiah will just have to heal their soul to make them *like* it when we lose our sovereignty to the UN!

Do you have one on FORNICATION? Did you know that John McCain voted for FORNICATION FUNDING. No list is complete with out a little FORNICATION. SoConPubbie has a FORNICATION link and you have squat.

Check out #23 for a quick trip into Gooberdom. It's an appropriations bill which passed 94/3/3. Ninety four Senators voted for FORNICATION.

Bush was able to win by the skin of his teeth in 2000. He won by one state in 2004. Now McCain is bleeding Conservative votes and still think he’s going to win.

Well, I suppose if enough Democrats vote for him, he may. He sure won’t be leading my segment of the populace. If elected he will 100% disenfranchise my segment of the populace.

McCain will never get a vote of mine.

I’ll take Bush for another 8 years before McCain for 1/2 term.

Baladas says: “Barack Hussein Obama EVER winning a general electtion against Juan in NC in November? NO WAY!”

Would that be the same North Carolina that elected Senator John Edwards?
