I voted against Mccain in Pa in protest. I will be voting for him in November.

It was a protest vote, IMHO.

Come November, Republicans will be faced with a clear choice of McCain or Obama.

I believe that, given those choices, they will vote for the lesser of two evils.

Recognizing that there are potentially 3 Supreme Court Justices who may need to be replaced, I will hold my nose and vote for McCain.

Only 26%?LOL

Doggone it.

I came here to say that.

I have family & deep tied to NC. My family members did not vote GOP, even though that is how they are registered.

I think mccain is dead also. He looks distinctly mentally challenged in the commercial the dems are running.
Obama will have all the black vote, and the young vote, and lots of new excited voters voting for him. HA! I won’t vote mccain either.

Bambi will make Carter look like Margaret Thatcher.

I am actually surprised that 342,000 people voted for a guy without an opponent. McCain will take pragmatic old North Carolina, don’t worry.

The way you have it stated I believe your glass half empty. People aren’t voting against McCain they are voting for someone else and since it’s only republicans voting it really means squat. Show me a poll that has 26% voting for Obama, now that will have significance.

If McCain is the candidate, I’m just another Republican for Obama.

At this point, Keyes looks a lot better than Juan McCain. I cannot and will not vote for LaRaza-supporting Shamnesty Juan.

This has got to be the lamest attempt to purposely coloring election returns that I have ever seen.

I mean correct me if I am wrong but in all the times that I have looked at a ballot I have yet to see a spacing saying "Check here to vote AGAINST this candidate"

Come on we vote FOR candidates.

ABC's attempt at playing "The Great Karnack" and divining the "intent" behind people votes is just another pathetic reminder that these MSM twits are in no way, shape or form interested in actually "reporting" the news.

At this point I really don’t care. They all are whores & they all do as the elites tell them. Imagine in 2012 what lower pond scum than this will be on the ballot.

Exactly correct.

I voted non-McCain as a protest vote but will vote for him in November against either of the Dem Stalinists who are running.

However, all the touting of the huge crowds that were coming out all excited about this election - didn’t happen. DID NOT HAPPEN, WRAL - DESPITE ALL YOUR COMMENTS THAT THE LINES WERE LONG AT THE POLLS. You didn’t go around neighborhoods anywhere near me. There were zero lines in all the polling places I rode by...which all totaled about 10. Fastest votes in a long long time for myself and several others I know.

I voted early, they voted late. NO LINES EITHER TIME.

Which means - a LOT of Repubs stayed home and a LOT of Dems stayed home....period.

No matter what they say about all the “excitement” - the majority, I believe, are totally disgusted with the candidate choices.

In fact, heard one longtime NC Dem say he was “going fishing” today.....

Get real, media hypers....the big turnout did NOT happen.

And McCain will have the Hispanic and moderate vote which will more than offset Obama’s followers as well as any far right extremist votes lost.

Me Neither!

I'll be writing in the name of an ACTUAL Republican and fighting for all conservative candidates in all down-stream races.
