A split has opened in the ranks of two groups organizing protests during the Democratic National Convention in August.
Tent State University, a group that hopes to bring college students from across the country to Denver, said Monday that it has severed ties with Re-create 68.
"Re-create 68 has demonstrated an inability to fulfill the needs of a growing list of individuals and organizations," Tent State organizer Adam Jung said in a prepared statement. "Our ability to effectively present our message to the delegates, the Democratic Party, and the public, is our number one priority."
The statement said that Tent City organizers felt their efforts would be compromised if they tried to maintain a relationship with Re-create 68. The two groups had been sharing the proceeds of concerts held as fundraisers such as one held in Fort Collins, said Tent City spokeswoman Jo Pease. That no longer will happen, she said.

Awwwww.....
Why can’t we all just get along?
More confusion, this is great. Both groups will attract protesters and they will not coordinate with each other.
All these leftist groups could turn on each other, might turn into a free for all;)
My hope is that they kill each other in August!
I’m not sure how great it is. Recreate ‘68 is very radical and encourages destruction of property to make a point. The other group seems to want to attract college students that would be hesitant to join the Recreate crowd. It’s kind of like it was in 1968, the average teen ager opposed the war, but they weren’t radical, they didn’t hate the country, they just didn’t want to get drafted as soon as they graduated from college.
It’s hard to believe there are some people out there who thinks the Democrats don’t hate America enough.
Tom Hayden should make out like a bandit as a paid consultant. Hope they take his butt to trial again.
“Our ability to effectively present our message to the delegates, the Democratic Party, and the public, is our number one priority.”
Not sure if the delegates inside the convention hall will know about their protests, unless things get violent as they did in Chicago in ‘68.
In fact, in recent years, haven’t cities hosting political conventions kept protesters away? I think I remember Boston in ‘04 set up a bull pen area a mile away to keep them away from the convention, am I remembering right?

WOW! This guy talks like the CBEO* of some major organization, not some bearded dopesmoking nutball Marxist! They really have their excrement together, don’t they.
...which makes me wonder: who funds these rag-tag groups that come off as being not so rag-tag, but instead, well funded and well organized?
Betcha George Soros et al have their fingerprints on this.
*CBEO = Chief Bovine Excrement Officer
I just finished reading a book where this woman ran a bar in Colorado, named the Hanoi Jane. When asked why she called it that, she answered that her husband had been a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and she had heard that Ted Turner was thinking of buy a large ranch nearby, she figured the name would discourage them. I think that it would be a great name for a bar near the Democrat convention center. The owner could always change it back after the convention.
Hear, hear...
I love it! Nightly dartboard tournaments featuring guess who’s picture in the center!
