Rush Limbaugh says Clinton-Obama race is proceeding precisely according to his plan
LA Times ^ | 5-6-08 | Andrew Malcolm

Posted on 05/06/2008 11:02:31 AM PDT by kingattax

Rush Limbaugh, the self-appointed Commander-in-Chief of Operation Chaos, is puffing on his immense cigar and gloating at this very moment in his Florida bunker. And preparing to celebrate two more grand and glorious political victories over Democrats today, no matter who wins the primaries in Indiana and Florida.

Usually as shy and retiring as, say, P.T. Barnum, the influConservative radio talkshow host Rush Limbaugh, the self-appointed commander in chief of Operation Chaos designed to promote the candidacy of New York Senator Hillary Clinton with Republican help against Illinois Senator Barack Obama and prolong the political infighting within the democratic party as long as possibleential conservative radio talk-show host is in his bombastic element these past couple of months, ordering many of his 12 million-plus obedient daily listeners to switch their voting registration presumably from the Republican party and go cast a ballot wherever they are for Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Not because he suddenly likes her after all these years of anti-Clinton rants. Nor, judging by what he's said on the air, because he's a huge fan of the presumptive Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain, who isn't conservative enough for the broadcaster.

Rushbo says he couldn't care less who wins the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. He just wants the two surviving candidates to beat up on each other as long as possible, hopefully...

into their national convention in Denver in late August.

In fact, the maverick maestro admitted during a Fox News interview Monday that he thinks Sen. Barack Obama will ultimately win the Democratic nomination. But the freshman Illinois senator will be a lot more bruised than he would have been had he floated to easy victories all winter and into the spring as Clinton fell behind in votes, delegates and money.

Not really. Many of us think Obama is worse than the Hillary anyway. The purse fight between hil and the magic negro is the only political entertainment we’ve got this election season.

Rush is really a stealth liberal who wants to get into Hillary’s pants. It’s all a scam for Rush to make millions you know, by having his arch enemy a Clinton in the Whitehouse. I mean Rush makes close to nothing when a Republican is in office right? I guess crabby, paranoid nonsensical bellyaching passes for Conservativism these days.

I take Rush at his word that Op chaos does not intend to get Hillary elected. It's the risk of her getting elected despite his intentions that concerns me. In this regard any vote for her (whether it be Rebuplican or Democrat) is a vote for her.

If Hillary wins the primary, Obama gets second place on her ticket and both wings make up. She will “make him an offer he can’t refuse”.

If Obama wins, Hillary would never accept Second Place
(unless plotting Arkancide) and she torpedoes his chances of winning so she can run against McManiac in 2012.

As long as the Clinton political machine doesn’t win the primary

She already has it won. As the weeks go by most all of the Democrates will realize that Obabma will be a disaster.

My sentiments exactly. I think Rush's intentions are good, but I think HRC would be a much stronger national candidate than Obama, so I think any vote for HRC is dangerous for Republicans.

What, is this site beholden to Rush? I think he is a little off with this too. Do I belong at the DU?

I’m beginning to think that magazines and newspapers have replaced editors with spell check.

And that is the danger of this Operation Chaos to me. Obama had all these things wrong, the Republicans just blew their wad too early IMO.

“If by some long shot Hillary should win, he would get the blame. His days of being loved by the conservative masses would be over.”

Yeah, not. Hillary or Obama should win but because of Chaos, Rush has leveled the playing field for wimpy McCain. If McCain wins in the fall he owes it to Rush.

Let’s get one other thing straight. An HRC presidency would be bad but an Obama presidency would be worse yet. Really this is a no lose situation for Rush. There isn’t a nickel’s worth of difference between McCain and the Witch. Obama, on the other hand, might be the antiChrist.
