Drivers along Interstate 85 on Monday saw an unusual site along the side of the road. Numerous people were lying face down along I- 85 just after the Highway 9 exit.
A News Channel 7 photographer was on the scene as 16 people were taken into custody. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Washington D.C. tells News Channel 7 that a Spartanburg County Deputy stopped a van on I-85 and called the ICE team to investigate. 14 men and two women were taken into custody. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says all are from Mexico and Quatemala and appear to be in this country illegally. All are still being processed. If it is determined they are illegal they will be placed removed from the country.
Investigators say the people taken into custody told officers they were on their way from Phoenix to Charlotte but did not say what the purpose of the trip was.
They are being held at the ICE office in Greenville.
Re-read this substituting “TTC” into the story.
Woohoo! Way to Cinco that Mayo!!!

Trans-Teaxas Corridor?
I’m sure that the gringo Juan McPain is upset that some of his supporters are getting busted by ICE. It’s about time. Say NO to amnesty and McPain.
“Immigration Bust:Numerous People Taken into Custody I-85 Corridor”
Somewhere an aged “maverick” weeps in the night.
“Im sure that the gringo Juan McPain is upset that some of his supporters are getting busted by ICE.”
No kidding, he needs every vote he can get and some things, Conservative Americans just will not do.
They got caught. On one early commute to work along Miami's Palmetto Expressway, I saw about 25 Haitians crawl out from a large culvert and start walking, single file, north with traffic. Back then, they were likely on their way to Palm Beach County.
Once there, they were also likely told to vote on Palm Beach County's "butterfly ballot". (Where Pat Buchanan got so many votes).
:)
Man, I've never seen so many cops. 40 or 50, at least, over the course of a 4 hour drive. And there were a number of stops where they had the car/truck/van pulled over, everyone out of the vehicle, and everything unloaded. I figured drugs at the time, now I'm not sure.
Wonder if the crackdowns were related.
This does not make sense tome, is it another editing mistake?
Juan McPain would probably give them immediate amnesty were he currently the president, however Obama or Hillary would probably go a step further and give them cabinet positions, were either of them president. :)
The housing construction business is dormant in CA and the southwest. These guys were headed for the home and apartment builders in Charlotte.
“Trans-Teaxas Corridor?”
Trans-Carolina.
New construction has taken a hit in NC as there is a lot of existing inventory—1 and 2 year old homes still sitting in some new subdivisions.
They’re coming here as there is an organized Coyote crime ring that shuffles these people around to various County government agencies signing them up for welfare and benefits and skims a portion off of that.
NC is very generous in giving away taxpayer money to illegals.

The Quat's are all over south Florida. They're the latest rage in farm workers because they're so short that they barely have to bend over to pick the beans.
The roam the streets of Homestead without fear of arrest. It's not unusual to see one staggering down the street drunk with a beer still in his hand or passed out on the sidewalk.
“Wonder if the crackdowns were related.”
Yes. A few times a year here in SC several sheriff’s offices from NC,SC and Ga do a joint traffic enforcement program. I live 1/2 mile from I-85 and have seen it many times. Cop cars from all over these three states. Last operation they busted a tractor trailer driver carrying a load of cabbage and something like three million in cash. When driving through Greenville on 85, watch your @$$. It’s one big speed trap on the interstate.
