How is this different than our hiring known Nazis to translate German documents during WWII?

The Feds won't hire Jews and Christian Arabs who speak Arabic and who are loyal to America as translators. But they will hire Muslim extremists who sabotage America at every turn. Its beyond absurd - no its treasonous. PC will be the death of America.

For over a year, we have been waging a relentless, nearly solitary battle in apprising the Congress and the American public about a billion dollar boondoggle and scandal: the lack of credible Arabic translators for our national security and intelligence agencies. As a result hundreds have been killed in Iraq from infiltration of our military and civilian intelligence agencies by agents of Islamist terrorists.

I stopped reading after this highly questionable assertion.

However, the U.S. government has long known that the results of polygraph tests administered to Middle Easterners, Muslims in particular, can be seriously flawed. The reason, frankly, is that for a host of cultural and religious reasons, lying does not stress Middle Easterners and Muslims as much as it does Western Christians. This allows them to defeat polygraph tests.

After 9/11, thousands of Christians and Jews who spoke critical languages like Arabic, Farsi, Pashto and Urdu were brushed aside and not considered. The government had been cajoled into thinking only Muslims could speak and interpret Arabic, the “holy language” of Islam.

I refuse to believe that our defense and security services are that stupid.

So what's the explanation?
Let me think...

Surely whoever made that decision can be identified and forced to explain the reasons. And sooner, rather than later.

I’m a translator, and people in the translation business have known about this for a long time.

One of the problems, unfortunately, is that many average translators - of any and all languages - are like academics: they are bitter leftists. Thus, they are actually thrilled by the fact that the Muslim translators are undermining the US at every turn.

I went to a translators’ conference and the anti-Americanism and left-wing, anti-Israel, pro-Muslim lunacy there was beyond belief. I actually quit the “professional organization” that sponsored it (NAJIT - National Association of Judicial Interpreters and Translators).

One of the problems is that NAJIT provides continuing ed credits for courtroom interpreters, as required by certain states. But a bunch of weirdo leftists had taken over the group and even the training was left-wing and anti-American. (In one class I attended, they spent their time translating anti-Bush political slogans.)
