MSNBC will rebroadcast a documentary about the crimes that got the Carr brothers on death row in Kansas at 11:00-12:00 PM EDT. That is 10:00-11:00PM CDT where I live. I'm not sure when the Mountain and Pacific time zones will see it.

I couldn' find the information ont the MSNBC.com, but I did get the rebroadcast time off my cable box at home.
To the Admin Moderator: Please don't delete this thread or move it to another forum. The national media deliberately embargoed information about this trial in 2002, because it wasn't politically correct.
One of the most heinous crimes I've ever read about and things have only gotten worse with these home invasions.
thanks for the heads up.
Tried to find out what happened but on the other threads I seem to figure out that it was a Black on White crime ....
bttt
I remember it well..It was so horrifying, so evil ..so senseless that I may never sleep if I watch it.
It was “unmentionable” in the MSM.
Thanks for the heads up. An acquaintance of mine worked in the Sedgwick County DA’s office when this case was going on. Apparently, the surviving victim got an STD from one or both of the Carr brothers, in addition to getting beaten, raped, robbed, and shot.
I think of this crime often, and remember the gruesome details, and how it got completely buried by the MSM.
It makes my blood boil whenever I remember it, and finally I’m hearing about it again.
Thanks for the TV heads-up.
I visited my maternal grandparents in Wichita for decades.
This story really hit home for me, as well as just being horrible.

As sickening as this crime was, I was even more horrified at the Knoxville atrocity of Jan 2007. That almost made the Wichita outrage seem tame by comparison.
I assume this is the same show that NBC showed on “Dateline” in July 2004. I watched it all then but couldn’t bear to watch it again tonight. I assume there are no new details anyway. At the time there was talk that the survivor might be interviewed but she was not so they didn’t really reveal anything new, at least to those of us who already heard about this incident.
After 5.5 years I have not heard what the status of the killers’ appeals are. If they are ever put to death I wonder how much longer it will take. I hope they are enjoying their solitary confinement in the meantime.
I remember hearing a little about this...a very little. Like that 5 people were shot and left for dead in a soccer field. I do not recall hearing anything about the victims having been raped, kidnapped, robbed, and forced to do vile things to each other for the amusement of their assailants , or that it was part of a crime spree. Two of the victims had recently decided to pursue religious vocations. One juror fainted at the trial. And thanks to the KS Supreme Court, these fiends may never get the death penalty they were sentenced to. They have already breathed 8 years too long. God rest the souls of the victims and comfort their families and the surviving victim who must live with the memories.
The photo of Ann Walenta should be included. She was shot by these mutants in an attempted carjacking a few nights before the home invasion. She tried to escape and they shot her in the neck. She initially survived, but was paralyzed. She identified R. Carr as one of the shooters. Sadly she developed an infection or had some complication and died 3 weeks after the shooting. I forget if they got first degree murder in her case or some lesser charge but in any case they just added that to the myriad of other charges the killers faced. Oh yes, she was white too. As was Andrew Schreiber, the first guy they carjacked. For some reason he was left unharmed.
I’m surprised MSN is re-airing this show. I wonder if it has been on in the 4 years since it first aired. I would have thought the PC thought police within NBC might have tried to prevent it from being seen again.
That is correct, at least it is fair to say that the story, with all its horror, did not have legs outside of Wichita. Another case of where the spike is the worst form of bias -- at least it was until we had the Internet and modern talk radio.
However, I do recall that AP employees covered the trial and the white "racists" outside the court house.
I can just here the screams of "Racists!" by Obama fans as they question the timing of this show.
Search on "Wichita massacre". It's very similar to the more recent Knoxville massacre. The great mystery is what motivates crimes like these.
There is another showing at 4:00-5:00 AM EDT, Sunday May4. That's 3:00-4:00 AM CDT. You might want to set your cable box or Tivo to record it. I am pinging all my ping lists.
Both Carrs received the DP, which was commuted to life (along w/ several others) when the sentencing rules were challenged. Fortunately the DP was reinstated and the Carrs are now back on Death Row.
