The official ones are but as you say the ones that the vendors put out are often shoddy goods and rather tacky though in some occasions some of the non official ones can be as good and somehow capture the spirit of the event than the more straight laced official ones.

We have an old waste bin which was an unofficial Charles/Diana wedding souvenir my nan loved it and it is still in use in dad's bedroom. The photo on it is the engagement photo whereas the official souvenirs were all coats of arms etc.

I have collected most of the books about Diana..and as I said, I rarely "collect" anything myself.

I do miss seeing that dear lovely girl. I will never get over the images of their wedding. What a wonderful time it was to watch their love develop, the beautiful wedding and their children being born.

Now it's like remembering a flower that has since faded away. Sigh....
