The family of two sisters missing for nearly seven years has renewed hope for their safe return after a forensic artist said an online photo of a mystery teen is the older child, according to reports.

Lois Gibson, a forensic artist with the Houston Police Department, said the online photo is that of Tionda Bradley, who disappeared at age 10 on July 6, 2001, from Chicago's south side with her 3-year-old sister, Diamond, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

"I took a hard look at them (the photos) for the first time (this week), and I do not say this lightly, but it's her," Gibson told the Sun-Times.

I consider myself unusually bad at facial recognition. But I will say that the ears look different.

But I will say that the ears look different.

Exactly what I was thinking - as a portrait artist, that's what seems out of line to me. Unless the girl's earlobes were somehow elongated with heavy earrings over some time - which is possible, but unlikely?

Ears are probably the one thing that change the least over the years -

I thought the same thing until I saw some other photos shot from the side.

Actually it is the eyes that change the least over time.

The ears grow continuously over the life.

Even if it’s not the missing child, I hope she contacts FoxNews about her MySpace photo.

Not knowing has to be the worst mental anguish of a parent of a missing child.

OK there’s something missing from this story. Where did the online photo come from, why is it a “mystery” and why did anyone think to compare it to the missing girl from long ago? Those are all questions the reporter should have automatically addressed in this story.
