My prayers are with his family, but these type of negative reports around the Magic kingdom tend to disappear from the news quickly.

How could anyone be driven over the edge at Disneyland?!

It’s a world of laughter,
A world of tears.
It’s a world of hopes,
And a world of fears.
There’s so much that we share,
That it’s time we’re aware,
It’s a small world after all.

Well that answers that question.

Man jumps to death from Disneyland hotel
Fri May 2, 2008 5:35pm EDT Email | Print | Share| Reprints | Single Page| Recommend (-) [-] Text [+] LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A man apparently jumped to his death on Friday from the 14th floor of the Disneyland Hotel at the world-famous amusement park in Southern California, police said.

The man, who was in town on business and not immediately identified by authorities, was killed in the 14-story fall from his hotel room balcony. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Right now it is certainly looking like a suicide,” Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez told Reuters. “He was seen leaping off the balcony.”

Martinez said the man, who was in Anaheim on business and appears to be in his 30s or 40s, also left evidence in the room that suggested it was a suicide.

“He was sharing a room with another male associate and for some reason he went out on the balcony and all indications are that it was an intentional act, a suicide,” Martinez said. “

The Disneyland Hotel has nearly 1,000 rooms in three towers overlooking the so-called “the happiest place on earth”. The amusement park, which opened in 1955, has become one of the top tourist attractions in the country.

Disney Corp. does a good job of rushing bodies out of the park and declaring them dead “off premises” so they can maintain that people don’t “die” at Disneyworld.

What I don’t understand is why stay at the Disneyland Hotel on business (on a Saturday no less), what company would pay for it (it’s spendy), and yet still require you to share a room.
