As far as John McCain is concerned, the Republican presidential nomination is a done deal and the party is united behind him. But thousands of Republicans -- particularly supporters of Texas Rep. Ron Paul -- aren't buying that.
In the Pennsylvania primary, more than 215,000 Republicans cast ballots for Paul or former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who together captured 27% of the vote.
And that was tame compared with the uproar last weekend at Nevada's Republican Party Convention.
About 600 well-organized Paul supporters overwhelmed McCain's forces and engineered a rule change that permitted national convention delegates to be nominated from the floor, wresting the task from party leaders.

You’d rather a committed globalist socialist open borders candidate like McCain should win?

You must really want Hitlery or Hussein to be president.
This kind of crap yinz spew almost guarantees a disaster like that.
If we weren’t at war and the possibility of other 9/11’s happening your strategy might be entertaining. But you “true believer” zealots will cause a disaster to happen.
And I will be perfectly happy to say “I told you so!” when it happens due to your short-sighted views.

Hillary or Obama will cheefully send you a thank you note.
Conscience? Winning the war, maintaining national security, and defeating the Islamofascist savages trump your petty lil' conscience.

defeating the Islamofascist
To do this we should cut all ties with Saudi Arabia, and Dubai because it is well known the middle eastern tribal monarchies provides monetary and sanctuary support to terrorists.
Instead, our current white house embraces these countries and our defense contractors relocate their corporate offices to the middle east.
As for maintaining national security??? The open borders/'homeland security' white house is not guilty of that offense.

That’s a scary thought.
We have to increase our prosecution of the war, not end it.

9/11 changed everything.
And unlike what your messiah says, we weren’t to blame.
Now run along and let the adults handle policy, little children.

McCain will prosecute the war fully and won’t hesitate to nuke the savages if need be.
That moron Paul still believes in such quaint anachronisms as Letters of Marque and other such detritus of the 18th century.

Pardon me, but we won the war, remember? It only took 3 months. Then we surrendered by letting every last Republican guard soldier go, and let the UN write a ‘power sharing’ constitution for the Iraqis so as to guarantee civil war in that country.

Apparently you include the Constitution as part of that detritus. Do you mean like in 1801 when President and Founding Father Thomas Jefferson INFORMED Congress that he was sending troops to fight the Ottoman Barbary States even though there was no declaration of war or do you mean in 1815 when President, Founding Father and principle author of the Constitution James Madison, with Congressional authorization but no declaration of war, AGAIN sent troops back to the Barbary States? I'm just curious, which liberaltarians of the early 19th Century were up in arms about these undeclared wars, surely they could have obtained some insight from the Founding Fathers as they were not only still alive in most cases but also participants.

No, I don't want a socialist in the White House from either the Democrat or Republican party.
This kind of crap yinz spew almost guarantees a disaster like that.
We're already have a disaster with three socialists as the lead candidates. Preventing McCain from getting the nomination creates at least a chance of a conservative becoming the nominee and thereby ending the disaster.
But you true believer zealots will cause a disaster to happen.
You capitulators have been willing to cede conservative principles for many years by appealing to those who aren't conservative simply to expand the voter base created a disaster a long time ago.
And I will be perfectly happy to say I told you so! when it happens due to your short-sighted views.
You have been perfectly happy with the short sighted view of reaching out to the socialists in the spirit of "bipartisanship" for many years. Your myopic view has failed to take into account the fact that the socialists Democrats have never been willing to ceded their principles. The result are increasingly socialist GOP candidates like McCain.
