If I recall Schnebly Hill Rd had the best view and Elk are plentiful. :^)

You recall correctly! One week isn’t going to be nearly enough.

We’re not going to touch southern Arizona, nor are we going out on the Mogollon Rim or into the White Mountains...no Hannigan’s Meadow, Pine, Strawberry, Show Low, Winslow, or Holbrook. No Flagstaff, Kingman, Wickiup or Wickenburg. No Lake Havasu City, Boulder City, or Tuba City. No Tubac, nor Tuzigoot.

Ah, well...maybe next year!

You are right - Schnebly Hill Road offers incredible views of Sedona. But it is a rough road to travel. Everyone should be prepared.

Upper Red Rock Loop Road also offers incredible views - leading to Cathedral Rock - for some of the best pictures ever taken.

About the elk - you are right - they are plentiful - and very dangerous to a vehicle traveling on I-17 or in Oak Creek Canyon. I am always on the lookout for them - as they weren’t taught to look before crossing..........
