An audience member ambushed John McCain on Thursday at an otherwise placid town hall meeting in Des Moines, Iowa, with a surprise question about whether he had ever called his wife by an obscene term.
The man stood up and first said he wanted to ask the Arizona senator about a mental health and mental health care concern.
Previously I had been married to a woman who was very verbally abusive to me, the man said. He paused and asked, Is it true that you called your wife a c***?
The crowd booed, and McCain responded:

You are absolutely correct, even though I don’t have proof to back it up. I think it is called decency, respect for others, and a few other such words of better choice than the one in question.
With Malice towards none
I took no pleasure in repeating a disgusting word in public, on international tv. Mathew 5:9 Marty Parrish
same location, same guy.

I despise McBoob, as anyone reading my history can attest to but this was totally uncalled for and the man ought to be taken out in the parking lot and f’ing horse whipped.
You mean relying on “his friends across the aisle” to be as passive and weak as he has been in this campaign might be just a tad naive?
Yeah I've noticed a lot of new sign-ups of late -- all with STOO-PID™ comments typical of a Troll.
[some may be the banned rudybots coming back to create a little havoc and seek revenge for getting zotted on those Bug Zapper threads.]
Yeah.
I've heard that before.
McCain handled him pretty well (:
“just changed my tag and name.”
From what?
ZOTted. And good riddance to bad rubbish!
Disgusting. Hot Air reported that the guy who asked the question signed in as a HuffPo contributor. A classy lot, those progressives.
Maybe now McCain will stop playing nice with these folks. Yeah, right...
McCain is not a good candidate and I cannot understand how he beat out the others. It had to be a backdoor deal in the GOP. Id rather have him than a communist or a facist though.
At least he is willing to listen to the people.
McCain will do irreparable damage to the Republican Party just by being elected. The damage to the country would be minimized in the short term (relative to Obama or Hillary), but be maximized in the long-term, as it would be highly unlikely that the country or party would ever turn back to the right. With Obama or Hillary winning, at least the Republicans have a chance at coming back with a decent conservative candidate in 2012.
As of now, most major Republicans are talking like Democrats did only a handful of years ago. So we will have in effect TWO DEMOCRAT parties. I want no part of it.
Here's a Gateway Pundit item.

And here's a Huffington interview where he discusses his love of Obama. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/keith-dinsmore/questioner-dragged-out-of_b_99762.html
Sure Ill have to vote for McCain but I will want to take a shower after. Hes as slimy as they come.

I’ve seen that argument and but don’t think it makes sense. I don’t think Obama or Hillary will be seen as doing that much damage. Remember they have the press behind them as a huge propaganda machine. They will do exactly what Chavez and other socialists/communists have done. Make all kinds of promises and collect power.
So your logic is if Obama or Hillary are elected, liberals will have unstoppable momentum to destroy the country while McCain if elected, would bleed the country - only much more slowly?
One question: Who comes in a cleans up after McCain? I can’t think of any way that happens.
Maybe not, but it proves you are a DUmb@$$! Go back to DU where you belong, noob!

More McCain would be able to do less damage.
“One question: Who comes in a cleans up after McCain? I cant think of any way that happens.”
Someone has to be found that will run and is a conservative. We need to rest the GOP away from the RINOs and bring it back to conservative values.
The association with Joe Biden makes me wonder if Biden hatched this plan.
Then the worst thing you could do is to get behind and vote for McCain.
I choose Hillary. She’s just as conservative as McCain. Half the country already can’t stand her so it will be easy to pick apart her policies. And frankly, I’m looking forward to seeing Bill Clinton end his career as “The First Lady”. Not to mention the fun we will all have watching Madame President trying to keep her First Lady away from the interns.
