FORT HOOD, Texas - A military jury Thursday acquitted an Army sergeant of premeditated murder in the death of an unarmed Iraqi insurgent who was killed in a village overrun by al-Qaida operatives.
The family of Sgt. Leonardo Trevino gasped, clapped and sobbed after the verdict in his court-martial was read. The 31-year-old from San Antonio also was cleared on charges of attempted murder, solicitation to commit murder and three counts of obstruction of justice.
Trevino said he felt betrayed by the soldiers who testified against him but that he held no ill will toward the Army.

He does. Not as fast as some of us like because we are the impatient creatures of his but he does come through if we ask.

thank you God
I love everything he said and stands for.....heck even the reporter was on TEAM GI!
Sgt. Trevino is a good man and I give him much credit for speaking out.
The thing that's bothering is even though he thinks he would operate in the same manner, he doesn't know for sure.
We can thank the PC part of our military and a$$es like Murtha for that!
The extended version of this interview is absolutely heartbreaking. I have watched it a few times. What sticks in my mind is this: “stay focused and on top of their game so they all can come home together”, “don’t have time to second guess decisions”, “rather be judged by 12 than be carried by 6”. “Angry, heartbroken, hurt” - “questioned, doubted”. I guess that sums it all up for all of us!
It is a miracle, to have overcome the mean-spirited testimony of a few of his own troops, who were merely concocting stories looking to get him out of their hair since he was a tough disciplinarian, and purortedly had no idea he would be court-martialed.
Don't expect the prosecutors to jump on their asses any time soon.
