WASHINGTON — Police in Tarpon Springs, Fla., said there was "no question" that Deborah Jeane Palfrey committed suicide by hanging Thursday, but that was not enough to stop immediate speculation that the infamous "D.C. Madam" was the victim of murder.

Hustler magazine publisher and free-speech advocate Larry Flynt -- one of Palfrey's staunchest advocates -- was the strongest voice forwarding the notion that Palfrey's death was not by her own hands.

"I think the media should be very cautious in treating this as a suicide," Flynt told FOXNews.com in a telephone interview from his Beverly Hills office.

Asked if he believed Palfrey was murdered, Flynt responded: "I personally believe that's what happened, but I have no proof."

I love it ... the only reason it's interesting to Flynt that there are more Democrats than Republicans on the list is not that the Democrats are depraved sex addicts ... there's no such thing in Larry's world. Larry's just indulging in unfounded paranoid fantasies that the president wants to selectively investigate the Democrats on the list.

I know she dies in Tarpon Springs. I posted a Breitbart article on it. But Miami is still one of the contract murder capitals of the world. The world of international drug trafficking provides that. So theoretically the pols involved in this would get a hire in Maiami, and observe the targets habits and then she does a yo yo imitation and is dead in five minutes, with suicide notes written under duress?

This sucks.

Too bad she didn't have accumulation of high hours of range time.

You will also note that a witness who was a former University professor turned prostitute, had also comitted "suicide."

I happen to have an advanced social science degree and have studied suicide a lot. Emile Durkheim wrote the defining social study on the topic. Prostitutes generally do not hang themselves, they OD.

While I don't have the background you do, I found this very fishy, too. My other thought is that you rarely hear women commit suicide over losing their honor the way you would a man. I know I will take heat on this, but in my experience in the professional world, despite the reputation women usually have for being emotional, men are a lot more sensitive about their ego and their position. I have to handle way more men with kid gloves than women. Again, I don't have access to numbers, but it seems a very un-female thing to do...especially one who had called out another female for (allegedly) committing suicide.
