Hillary Clinton's latest ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jv1_H8xsIs
Hillary: I'm Hillary Clinton, and I approved this message.
Announcer: The economy's in trouble, When the housing crisis broke, Hillary Clinton called for action: a freeze on foreclosures. Barack Obama said no. Now gas prices are skyrocketing and she's ready to act again. Hillary's plan: use the windfall profits of the oil companies to pay to suspend the gas tax this summer. Barack Obama says no again. People are hurting. It's time for a president who's ready to take action now.
You know, I had worried that McCain's and the RNC's criticism of Obama for opposing a gas tax holiday wouldn't break through to ordinary voters... but now it looks like it will.
You rock, Hillary.
Oops...That was some optimist who thought the Congress would be responsible enough to dig in ANWAR 10 years ago.
It’s very simple - Barack Obama needs the money more than us bitter little people. Once you embrace the truthful audacity of his hope and change, it all becomes clear.
I’m with Obama on this one. Raising the tax on oil companies is a raise in gas prices. Uncle Sugar will get more from the oil companies and more from the consumer as prices increase. Win-win for the state. Lose-lose for the consumer. No change for the oil companies. They are going to make theirs.
“use the windfall profits of the oil companies to pay to suspend the gas tax this summer”
Another dumb Clinton moment. Since when can the government look at a business and say, “hey your not allowed to make a profit, I think I will take it from you.”
If people do not like what a company is doing, gouging the market then the people (not government) should act. Get together and boycott the company or something. But for the government to say NO you can not make that much money it not right. Hey can I tell Bill he has to give me some of the money he made “speaking” I mean, the companies that paid him add it into their product costs....
The Democrats’ policies won’t produce a single gallon of gasoline. They will make the price even higher. And it’s the Democrats’ policies that make us dependent on oil, by preventing us from drilling for more. The Democrats have no one to blame but themselves for high oil prices.
What a goofball. How many companies had higher profit margins than Big Oil? You don't see the Beast going after Big Google - do ya? (Didn't think so...)
