That whole article was a fun read.
Obviously, she's just a crazy "You kids stay off my lawn!" kinda nut.
The over/under on the number of cats in her apartment is 27.

Priya's scorecard on www.ratemyprofessors.com indicates that she received a "Hotness Total" of zero.Somebody must have been feeling particularly charitable, that afternoon. ;)

Here’s a brilliant statement from the little drama queen:
I understand that there are such things as bad working environments a shithole is just a shithole, and thats not illegal, and I know that, she said. But sometimes you have to take time out and address the issue of justice in society and to really implement the values that are so lacking at Dartmouth.

The person in that photo is some professor from Duke University, and not Dartmouth, as the one in the article is.

I had an English Prof who gave me a very bad grade because I questioned his interpretation of some of Joyce’s works, I read them all, while in High School or the Army.

Oh, well, they’re both guilty.

Having ones opinions challenged, and possessing the ability to debate and defend them, used to be a hallmark of academia. What happened? Liberals took over and got tired of defending a logically indefensible ideology.

Students believed that Venkatesan did not accept opinions contrary to her own and would lower the grades of students who disagreed with her, the student said. This is very common, especially in the non-scientific courses. My "History of Cleveland" class was my first introduction to the concept of highly-biased teaching. Throughout my 5 or 6 years of part-time school after that, I witnessed several classes where you had to agree with the professor to obtain a respectable grade.
Now would be a good time to break up the monopoly that is called an education system in this country. But as long as the leftist/socialists also serve as the accrediting authority, we can expect this to get worse.

What’s gonna suck for me, as a homeschooler, is teaching two sets of curriculum.
Here’s the truth, but here’s what you’re going to be required to profess in order to get good grades.

Yeah, I was wrong, but, so what? It’s like when cops arrest an innocent guy and shrug it off because he was guilty of something else. As I said earlier, clearly they are both guilty.

LOL!
As for the ratings...
Breaking from the format here just for one post, we thought wed draw some attention to
ratemyprofessors.coms listing of Hottest Professors that came out recently. And to borrow from a tech bashing site we love, this one gets a heaping helping of FAIL.
Presumably hottest would mean hot as in sexy, and not a single professor in the top five comes with a photo. And the only one we were able to dig up from her respective faculty site, is shown below. Either we are mis-understanding this hot list, or the students picking the winners here has a sense of humor.
The top five ladies on the list, in order, were:
- Maria Disavino - Manhattan College
- Lesley Yoder - Boston University
- Heather Tierney - College of Charleston
- Stephanie Bowers - Oregon State University
- Peggy Ward - Wichita State
Again, none of the listings contained photos, and the only find-able one from the list above, is shown in this post. Ugh.
See the full listing here, if you even care.

i remember at my university a professor of anthro
who taught q section of freshman 101 of ~500 students.
he gave 400+ d’s and f’s.
the grades stuck but the university lawyers
negotiated a way out of his tenure, putting
the professor out to pasture.
