I would agree, gas will go up. The commodity auction bids on future supplies, not current. Current gas prices are based on past commodity auctions. We still have falling refinery capacity, and we are in the seasonal blend transition season, so yes, gas will go up.

That's all understood....what I'm trying to point to is the weekly pattern, politics here and abroad, and gas that was already delivered at the pump more than a week ago for today's fillup.

Track what you pay versus the futures increase....there's no delay in the price increases, just delays when price has fallen for a week or more.

We're getting hosed because the stations already know how mush is in their tanks at what price and the RBOB increase matches the pump price increases within 24 hours, not 30 days out.
