POLL: PPP Indiana (4/26-27)

Public Policy Polling (D)

Indiana n=1,388 likely voters, 4/26-47 Clinton 50, Obama 42

Another poll after SurveyUSA is showing Clinton with a comfortable lead in Indiana. PPP skewed a bit in Obama's favor in past surveys. They predicted a 3-point win by Obama in PA, and it did not pan out.

Time to throw the support back to Osama; he’s wounded and he needs our help /s/ Only to keep him alive and stop Hilary’s momentum. Obama is imploding as we all suspected he would. We need him to be the dems candidate.

I disagree. AS I said, Hillary won’t get the nominee as superdupes do not have the guts to alienate blacks even they know he’s going to be a disastrous loser. Having said that, it’s good to let Obama lose one primary after another, as we are exposing his weakness among white votes, and media will be just a bit careful when they decide to fawn over their messiah coming into November.

It’s all about pulling him down to the earth. Mark my word, he will be the nominee.

‘Operation Chaos’ was very, very stupid...

...unless part of a brilliant plan by Rush to throw the election to Hillary, thus prolonging the destruction of the Republican party that would have come with a McCain presidency...hmmmmm

You think Hillary can win without the black vote?

I don’t. I doubt she can even win with it.

Hillary Clinton supporters must accept outcome of popular vote, Jimmy Carter says

"Former President Jimmy Carter has given Barack Obama a major boost by calling for the bitter Democratic nomination battle to end on June 3rd and speaking glowingly of his ability to “transform the image” of America."

I think there is still plenty of hope that the Dims will shoot themselves in the foot.

I think we want her to win Indiana. That will ensure that she goes all the way to the Convention. And if that happens, its a good bet that neither one of them will get more than 90% of the Democrat vote.

More popcorn please.

Hillary will desperately need the black vote in key states like Pennsylvania, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Without it, she’s toast.

I've got news for you. Hillary has less of a chance to win the general than Obama. That is especially true if she takes the nomination away from him via the super-delegates, which is exactly what she will have to do.

Keeping this going is a Godsend.

That’s my point, we WANT Obama to be the candidate. He can’t win because he won’t get the white working class vote. I think McCain trumps him there. Obama can’t win without them and he won’t get them.

Whites will vote, and vote McCain. In a way, each of these votes count twice; one less for the democrats, one more for McCain. Blacks may not vote for Hilary, but won’t vote for McCain either. Those “non-votes” are only a single win. And that’s somewhat diluted, because to the extent blacks do vote, they will still vote democrat.

Hilary can win. Obama cannot. That’s my take.

I agree. I voted Obama in Washington.

My worst nightmare is that witches triumphant smirk with her hand on the Bible taking the oath of office.

But that’s the itch of it for me...Sure there are some short term outlook polls showing Obama losing support...but *whose” support is he losing? Is it “typical white Liberals” who fear he’s losing his “golden boy” status in the muck and mire? Or is his loss of support coming in any degree from the churches and communities of Black Americans? The former, would not be as serious as the latter...If black Americans are becoming disillusioned and untrusting of Obama...his campaign hopes would be serious;ly crippled.

You say to me...Why ever would they do that? And I reply, that in the last 72 hours, we’ve seen Obamas black Pastor, say that Obama speaks one thing to whitey...We’ve seen Obama castigated by a “civil rights leader” for pandering to whirtey...And we’ve seen Obama disown his black pastor.

While one can argue the fairness of these slings and arrows of outrageous fortune...I can only wonder if this is forming doubts among some who see him as a “true first black president.”, what he really is all about.

The dems are in a no win situation now. Hillary will DESTROY Obama in IN and lose by single digits in NC. It will be a wash, but an overall Hillary win.

IN has more electoral votes than NC, and NC has a huge black population. The writing is on the wall that Obama cannot win in the Midwest amongst white voters.

Urban centers already go for dems, so a big hit elsewhere cannot be sustained. On the other hand, if the superdelegates throw Obama under the bus because they see the wreck coming, then they create an entirely different wreck by having a depressed urban center turnout.

His followers (to a large enough degree) will either stay home or vote McCain. They are screwed unless Obama drops out NOW, and says it is for the good of the country. Then he actively supports Hillary. Even then I am not so sure. But I do think they are toast, and probably planning on a 2012 strategy by now.

A substantial number of solid Republican friends here in Indiana are planning on switching to a Demo ballot in the primary to vote for Hillary. They detest Hillary but fear Obama.

Hillary is more likely to win than Obama, that’s for sure.

But sometimes it only takes a seminal event to divide a class of voters from a party. If Hillary takes the nomination, my take is the Democrat party will be wounded for years to come.

So many blacks have had it drummed into them that they are victims of the white establishment (Just listen to Wright, he’s king of the koolaid). If Hillary, that rich, white, privilaged woman steals it from a black man, the hatred will be palpable.

PPP and SurveyUSA are both robo polls using automated calling.

I would take these with an extra grain of salt.

That would be a fairly stupid thing to do.
