Calling this thread a FReeper food fight is not far off target. I do not yet believe I have seen even ONE writer who has it nailed.

We all need to consider a few Rules To Live By, starting with those espoused by “Ronaldus Magnus” Reagan:

1.) SPEAK NO ILL OF YOUR FELLOW REPUBLICANS

In this situation, I propose modifying the application of the rule as follows:

“Even if he is John McCain, an (alleged) conservative of often Questionable Credentials.”

I propose further rules herewith:

2.) Trust NO Democrat - not their words, not their actions, not their motives, not their past, present, nor proposed future voting record (Zell Miller shall be honorably excepted from this rule).

3.) Trust no press statement issued by, of, or for any Democratic party candidate.

This includes alleged “insider” reports of strife, dischord, or utter chaos inside the campaign.

This especially includes any mainstream media: polling data, articles about polling data, OP-EDs about articles about polling data, or campaign “spinmeister” reduxes on OP-Eds about articles about polling data.

4.) Assume any/every Democratic party candidate for office is:
a)capable, b) devious, c) connected and well funded,

d) out to screw you, your neighbor, and your neighbor’s mother,

e) unpatriotic, and ready to sell out America for their own gain

f) has a plan they intend to execute in order to gain and keep both power and money.

Now - operating on these rules and assumptions, what should we then do?

Polling data suggests that 25% of Hillary’s Dem party voters will not consider voting for Obama in the general election, while 35% of Obama’s Dem party voters will not consider voting for Hillary in the general election.

This only SUGGESTS a significant fracture (perhaps along racism/sexism lines) within the Democratic party faithful.

The GOP HAS to develop a “strategery” of some sort to keep a power-hungry, outright Socialist from ascending to the US presidency next January.

A strategery which, preferably stops short of assassination.

WHY NOT assume for election and campaign purposes that this particular fracture line may exist, and make every effort to exploit it, magnify it, and capitalize upon it - but without counting on it as a keystone for victory?!

Assume that both Hillary and Obama - independently of the Democratic party - already have plans in place to viciously attack John McCain following their planned acceptances of the nomination.

Think like the enemy - ask yourself - AS each opponent, HOW will they go about this in the DIRTIEST possible way?

Remember Dan Rather?

Remember the last second “Gee, we just found this stuff” release of George W. Bush’s DUI citation?

Remember their disinformation campaign right in the middle of the Florida balloting debacle?

Remember their smearing of Washington state Republican gubernatorial candidate Ellen Craswell, their smearing of GOP gov. candidate Dino Rossi, and hand recount/election fraud hijinks in that election?

Don’t think little - think big.

They are. Real big. Just like the stakes in the race for the highest office in the USA.

As Republicans, our essential beliefs in honesty, our support of traditional moral values character and personal accountability are seen by today’s Democratic Party operatives as WEAKNESSES TO BE EXPLOITED.

They flatly care little to nothing about such minor points. As a party, they became accustomed to holding power from the time of consolidation following Roosevelt’s “New Deal” onward.

They now view themselves as entitled to it, by right and birthright, and as such, ANYTHING done in order to keep or regain it is totally JUSTIFIABLE.

Their ends are noble, so their means - whatever means - are justified in its pursuit.

Be prepared to vote. Vote for McCain. The other two alternatives are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

We must be aware that the Demos are PLANNING to commit ELECTIONS FRAUD on a MASSIVE SCALE, NEVER BEFORE SEEN IN THE USA.

They lost in Florida because they got caught red-handed, they lost in Florida because they could not employ ENOUGH FRAUD, QUICKLY ENOUGH, they lost in Florida because they could not bully, buy, or manipulate the people or the courts, though they damn sure tried.

Washington state’s previous gubernatorial election was a template for what they tried to do in Florida 2000; what they will do in 2008, everywhere that they can.

Remember Washington State, 2004? Dino Rossi won one count and the subsequent mandatory machine recount - TWO COUNTINGS of the ballots.

When their party operatives got their hand recount - got their hands on every ballot (several times),

got the right to (illegally, by court fiat) DISALLOW the MILITARY ABSENTEE BALLOTS of thousands of servicemen and women (among whom, enlisted folk vote GOP by an 80% to 85% margin) based upon a technical, debateable, and unscrupulous point related to the AFPO postmark versus date of receipt within the state,

got the right to count hundreds of “homeless” ballots registered to the same downtown Seattle addresses,

got the right to count hundreds of unverified ballots that later proved to have been purged at least once (dead voters, voters who moved and registered elsewhere)

They won that one by the slightest of margins. Despite the fact that machines do not tire, do not show favoritism, and are proven by repeated independent auditing to be MUCH MORE ACCURATE than hand counting of ballots...

In fact as soon as they had a margin of votes, they declared the counting over and done.

Since WHEN does WINNING 2 out of 3 counts NOT win an election?

They succeeded in using the same tactics during 2004 in many areas of Wisconsin, and in large metropolitan areas across the USA.

The Democrats cried “Foul” when their own tactics failed them in Ohio. How could they have lost?

They KNEW they had a large enough volume of fraudulent ballots to guarantee their victory. It must have been those damned Diebold balloting machines - manufactured by a company with an EVIL REPUBLICAN CEO, who hijacked the people’s votes...

The Democratic party credo has long been “Divide and Conquer”.

This takes the form of exploiting class envy and pitting “haves” against “have-nots”, convincing each that you alone care about their special interest minority, you alone see and feel their pain and problems, you alone have a plan to protect what is theirs/ give them back what is theirs.

This also is seen in pitting “racial concerns” one against another; finding disparate groups of the marginalized and the disenfranchised, cuddling up to them, and making them believe (irrationally if necessary!) that you really, really care about how woefully they have been abused and you really really believe they are entitled to “Government Reparations”, or “Special Protection Minority Status”.

The Democrats in general, and the Klintoons in particular are adept at these tactics, and have long made hay out of such sunshine.

Obama may be a young, inexperienced Socialist who speaks in vague terms, but he is a calculated and brilliant Hah-vahd edu-ma-cated Socialist with the obvious sense enough to have successfully played the race card all his adult life, and he is using it now as his primary strategy.

On the one side, he is cozying up to San Francisco’s “Billionaire’s row” denizens, while on the other, he is milking the black disenfranchisement voters for all they’re worth.

Brilliant and calculated juxtaposition: how long it can be made to work is anyone’s guess.

Mine is: until Hillary dips into the deepest well of her reservoir of dirt, and dirty tricks for a last ditch barrage against Obama.

Whatever she has to use against him, she WILL use against him before the Democrat National Convention!

It will be whispered into the ears of every power broker, major DNC donor, and super-delegate who will sit and listen and consider.

It will be shouted in profanity-laced diatribes in closed-door boardroom meetings.

The million-dollar question is: Will it be enough?

Will it be truly bad enough and damaging enough - soon enough, or has she already let too many delegates, and too much time slip away to persuade the voters and the superdelegates?

She will not stand still waiting for the answer, nor readily accept a “NO”.

Because Hillary Klintoon believes herself entitled to power as a birthright. Moreover, she has put in her time and waited her turn for power. The power of the highest office in the land - in the world.

She is dangerous because she believes that, absolutely, and because she is competent enough to seize it and use it.

She also knows that in politics, there is no tomorrow and almost no political redemption for failed Presidential candidates...Consider - where are Walter Mondale, Garry Hart(pence), Michael Dukakis, John Kerry...today? Kerry is a largely ignored Junior Senator from MA., while AlGore alone is the irritating entity who will not completely go away, although he is probably politically finished at least.

Hillary, only midway through a second relatively ineffectual Senate term, does not want to bear such an asterisk

Barack Hussein Obama is dangerous because he appears to be a “true believer” whom a significant number of blacks in this nation believe is rightfully entitled to power as an extension of THEIR birthright - he exists as their payback, if you will.

He is dangerous because, although ‘brilliant’, he is naive and inexperienced enough to be manipulated by the strongest power-broker with the tightes stranglehold on him.

Either alternative to the lasting detriment of the United States of America.

Whichever one “wins” the intra-party power struggle, America may lose.

We, the GOP, and Independent “Swing” voters have victory in our sights - regardless of how mediocre a candidate McPain may in fact be, and we sorely need to capitalize upon it by fully and dedicatedly exposing two of the worst, most glaringly liberal Presidential candidates in US history.

McCain is, thereby, perhaps the LUCKIEST politician in US political history, BUT pointedly NOT “the worst we can get”.

Believe that, and nevermind what Rush or Savage (Weiner) might say or do.

In light of ALL these considerations, therefore, is it NOT beneficial to deliberately set out to sow confusion in the “ENEMY” camp?

Picking on Rush and his multifaceted “strategery” of “Operation Chaos” are not productive. Picking on Savage for his supposedly serious endorsement of Hillary is also NOT productive.

Whatever Hillary’s and Obama’s campaigns currently have planned - they will certainly NOT abandon their current plans, nor lay any stock in garnering “gamebreaking” votes from among the listeners of either talk show host’s programs.

Yeah, Rush IS probably selling T-shirts at a steady clip.

So what? The effect his “Operation” is having on the campaigns of Hillary and Obama are as yet IMPOSSIBLE to accurately measure.

Any of us laypeople in this forum (and many of the experts) who claim to be able to divine otherwise and successfully predict the political outcome are whistling in a hurricane.

Hillary has not yet had a “Sista Souljah” moment (whatever the hell that is supposed to be) nor will Rush give it to her. Whether he has or has not underestimated the Klintons before, suggesting he is doing so now - with a national election on the line - borders upon ludicrous.

To claim he is out of his depth simply because the Klintons have not YET met their political demise, when he confers with, and has regular contact with the best minds and strategists in American conservatism today, is not likely a valid point.

Hillary and Obama are doing a Yeoman’s job of tearing away at one another right now.

She is colder, tougher, more hard bitten, and willing to employ more dirty tricks. A more savvy politician, far less likely to misspeak (her Bosnia “sniper fire” lies notwithstanding, and has built a more stable and reliable coterie of support and power around herself.

He is smoother, better at connecting warmly with “the people” and dismissing substantive criticism with a laugh. Far better at veiling his true agenda, and at inspiring groundlessly irrational, messianic fervor and intangible “groupthink”/crowd behaviour in impressionable masses.

There are dangers on either path. Calling one weak over the other plays into the hands of our “Enemies”.

Here is what we MUST do:

Identify both as what they are, engage our own plans to break them down, encourage them to attack one another, rather than create a reason for them to reconcile and unify their party against America.

Find John McCain’s beneficial attributes, sell them to yourself, and sell them to your friends and family. People want a reason to vote FOR someone, every bit as much as a reason NOT to vote for somebody else.

And of course, pray that McCain chooses a MUCH younger, MUCH more Conservative, and charismatic VP running mate.

Because, based upon McCain’s age, we will most likely be doing this all over again in 2012!

A.A.C.

While I'll take the rest under advisement, I've always though the recent blanket demand,

"SPEAK NO ILL OF YOUR FELLOW REPUBLICANS"

To be asinine at the very least.

If you can not be critical of those who deserve it, your own party or others, then your voice means nothing. All that matters is your vote bought at the cheapest possible price and then discarded at leisure. You're nothing but a warm body being used to satisfy another's basest needs.

I'm no whore and I'll not be treated as such.

I'm willing to bet Ronald Reagan had no such intent when he said that, but his words are being twisted to silence those who others just want to use for their own ends.

Not going to happen.
