AP Poll: Clinton leads McCain, doing better than Obama (Rush Will get Hillary Elected President)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton now leads John McCain by 9 points in a head-to-head presidential matchup, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable than Democratic rival Barack Obama.

The survey released Monday gives the New York senator and former first lady a fresh talking point as she works to raise much-needed campaign cash and persuade pivotal undecided superdelegates to side with her in the drawn-out Democratic primary fight.

Helped by independents, young people and seniors, Clinton gained ground this month in a hypothetical match with Sen. McCain, the GOP nominee-in-waiting. She now leads McCain, 50 percent to 41 percent, while Obama remains virtually tied with McCain, 46 percent to 44 percent.

Both Democrats were roughly even with McCain in the previous poll about three weeks ago.

Since then, Clinton won the Pennsylvania primary, raising questions anew about whether Obama can attract broad swaths of voters needed to triumph in such big states come the fall when the Democratic nominee will go up against McCain.

Added Steve Lombardo, a GOP pollster: "This just reinforces the sentiment that a lot of Republican strategists are having right now -- that Clinton might actually be the more formidable fall candidate for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that Obama can't seem to get his footing back."

This campaign is McCain’s to loose. And, he’s doing a damned fine job of loosing it. What a loon.

An actual RHINO would be running a better campaign than this RINO.

“I have no idea if General George Casey was a good strategist or not. But you obviously have an opinion on him. Perhaps you could enlighten me.”

Actually, I don’t. My whole point to you was in regards to your statement.... “At least when planning for the was in Iraq, combat tested generals are put in charge and they prepare for everything, even the unexpected.”

The surge took 4 years. That is NOT what I call “planning for the unexpected”.

Well, it is getting out there now. Of course it would have gotten out after. It’s not McCain that’s putting it out now. The 527s would have seen to it that it had gotten out if McCain didn’t.

Obama would never have won the general election. His big support is coming from Democrats. Republicans would not have voted for him. This stuff could have come out after Pennsylvania or at least Indiana and NC. That would have given the Pubs plenty of time to drive this stuff home and defeat him.

“And the chaos in the Democrat party is designed to accomplish what, exactly?”

You’re pulling my leg, right?

Kindly answer the question please: what is the aforementioned chaos supposed to accomplish?

Anyone who believes American Pravda (AP) needs to immediately buy one of my $50, two-inch tall carbon credit trees I have growing in the back 40. You’re exactly the kind of completely stupid person I’m looking for.

I hadn’t planned to get into a debate on the War in Iraq, but frankly, I think the War in Iraq hasn’t been as bad as the MSM has led us to believe. We helped topple Saddam Hussein, and the people of Iraq finally got to vote in a Democratic election. Wars aren’t won overnight.

A bloodied democrat party? I still think you’re pulling my leg. If you’re not, or if you don’t have some kind of ulterior motive, then I believe you’re a hopeless case. Which explains your love of mclame.

Received this via email........good for a laugh!!

‘We in Holland cannot figure out why you are even bothering to hold an election.

On one side, you have a b!tch who is a lawyer, married to a lawyer, and a lawyer who is married to a b!tch who is a lawyer.

On the other side, you have a true war hero married to a woman with a huge chest who owns a beer distributorship.

Is there a contest here?

It is amazing how many so called conservatives come here on a daily basis to bash Rush. This place is full of DU'ers. When the Dems are throwing pie in each others face at the convention its going to be funny.

...a bloodied democrat party...

In which case, I would respectfully submit the purpose of OC has been accomplished. You have a virtual tie between both candidates and at this point neither will drop out.

However, at this point, every day that OC pushes Clinton to another win gives her increased momentum and increased legitimacy. That increased legitmacy actually decreases the chances of "chaos" at the convention, as she peels away support from Obama.

In addition, as noted above, it gives her an opportunity to appear "moderate" when compared to Obama's supporters, thereby increasing her chances with the general election voters.

Why can't a conservative question a Rush strategy?

Are we not supposed to debate in the arena of ideas??
