AP Poll: Clinton leads McCain, doing better than Obama (Rush Will get Hillary Elected President)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton now leads John McCain by 9 points in a head-to-head presidential matchup, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable than Democratic rival Barack Obama.

The survey released Monday gives the New York senator and former first lady a fresh talking point as she works to raise much-needed campaign cash and persuade pivotal undecided superdelegates to side with her in the drawn-out Democratic primary fight.

Helped by independents, young people and seniors, Clinton gained ground this month in a hypothetical match with Sen. McCain, the GOP nominee-in-waiting. She now leads McCain, 50 percent to 41 percent, while Obama remains virtually tied with McCain, 46 percent to 44 percent.

Both Democrats were roughly even with McCain in the previous poll about three weeks ago.

Since then, Clinton won the Pennsylvania primary, raising questions anew about whether Obama can attract broad swaths of voters needed to triumph in such big states come the fall when the Democratic nominee will go up against McCain.

Added Steve Lombardo, a GOP pollster: "This just reinforces the sentiment that a lot of Republican strategists are having right now -- that Clinton might actually be the more formidable fall candidate for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that Obama can't seem to get his footing back."

I know! Seems there are two types of freepers, those who consider a Clinton re-presidency unthinkable and the rest who consider it as ‘oh-well’able.

But every day we find more evidence that Obama's the weaker of the two.

The point you are missing is that we are finding out this information because of Operation Chaos.

I am not whistling past the graveyard.

There are three terrible presidential candidates left. I think most of us agree on that. Both of the Democrat candidates have terrible associations. I think most of us agree on that.

Obama was the most liberal senator in Washington last year, which is verifiable. His background and “true beliefs” are much more shadowy than Hillary’s. We know she’s a piece of trash, and very few people would dispute that, even in her own party. Hillary is about power, above all else, but I don’t believe she hates this country.

I personally believe Obama is much more sinister than just a piece of common trash. I do believe he hates this country and what it stands for.

I could accept that rationale if the masterminds behind OC weren't still running full speed ahead on the Hillary train.

By now, neither Hillary or Obama is going anywhere. If the goal is chaos by keeping her in to the convention, it's been accomplished. She will stay in and continue to attack him.

However, continuing to push OC only strengthens her and increases her chances of winning the nomination more or less fairly and squarely.

She no longer needs Rush's help and yet he continues to give it to her, making it look increasingly like this is about getting her nominated to run against a candidate that Rush has admitted to loathing.

Why should your campaign experience be listened to?

My campaign experience was that the liberal media beat Barry Goldwater. We still have a liberal media today, but they have been damaged by the alternative media including Rush Limbaugh.

If my memory serves me correctly, he contributed to the 1994 congressional defeat of the dims.

You Rush bashers are maybe not able to understand what he is doing, so you become confused about his tactics.

“That would be true if Rush was a good strategist. At least when planning for the was in Iraq, combat tested generals are put in charge and they prepare for everything, even the unexpected.”

General George Casey was not a good strategist? I’m sure he was but NOT against something he never encountered before. Same with Petraeus, however, he had someone else’s “hindsite” on his side and used it wisely.

The war started in 2003, the surge wasn’t until 2007.

“Rush is in no way a general or has had any experience in running campaigns. “

Who’s campaign is Rush running?

I don't disagree with most of what you wrote about Obama. I only disagree-strongly-with your statements that Hillary is better. When you look at her record as a whole, and not just since 2002 (when she started "moderating" some of her votes in preparation for her Presidential run), you see a woman who has embraced and advanced the radical, hate America, left since her college days.

Mark my words: once she gets in the White House the "real" Hillary will be back in full force and she will be no different than Barry.

Look, people, let’s make this a pure experience.

Let’s provide Rush with something to lose.

Rush must agree that if Hillary is elected president, no conservative in America will ever listen to his radio show again. Simply that.

I predict in those conditions Operation Chaos stops tomorrow.

Hillary spoke in the rain when she campaigned in McKeesport, PA Saturday, April 19. This woman will never quit until she's destroyed everyone else and becomes president. Plus, millions of people in my state LOVE her.

I totally agree with you. Even some from the right, a few months ago, were falling for Obama’s “unity, hope” schtick, and talking about how smart he is. If Hillary wasn’t still in the campaign smoking him out, he’d still be getting away with it, because Republicans these days, and McCain most of all, aren’t know for doing their job in campaigns and going for the jugular of liberal opponents. And even less so when a white man would have to attack a black man, and the ensuing accusations of “racism!”. Hillary, as a woman, was able to get away with it to an extent, and the Clintons have always been known (and admired by the Rats) for their no-holds-barred campaigning.

Hindsight is 20/20 and all, who can say that Obama would even as weakened as he is if Hillary hadn’t been there to do it? Attacks (assuming there would’ve been any, whih I doubt) from McCain would have only strengthened Obama and blown-back on McCain.

It’s an incredible thing to see how enthusiastic people are about Hillary here.

You’re talking about FR, right? LOL

Associated Press-Ipsos poll

BFD. This is one of the most inaccurate, left-biased polls.

“I only disagree-strongly-with your statements that Hillary is better.”

Understand, I am only speaking marginally. I just truly believe Obama hates everything about this country, from its founding, to its world-standing, to its wealth, to its Judeo-Christian legal system..

"WASHINGTON (AP) ; Hillary Rodham Clinton" I stopped reading right there. Why can't they just call her Hillary Clinton. Her middle name is so ugly and it makes her a less attractive candidate.

You Rush bashers are maybe not able to understand what he is doing, so you become confused about his tactics.

We're confused?

I've read multiple-contradictory-justifications for OC from its supporters on this thread: nominate a weakened Obama, nominate a weakened Hillary, create chaos, get revenge on McCain, etc.

Of course, when any one points that out, we're called "trolls," "fools," "liberals" or some other epithet.

Tell you what: when you guys can all agree on what you're trying to accomplish, let us know. Maybe then our eyes will open to the wisdom of helping the Clintons on their road back to the White House.

Heh. Nice suggestion, but Rush would sooner promise to give up cigars, football and mail order steaks.

Forgot all about those women and children that were burned alive, eh? Or don’t give a shit. A great ‘conservative.’
