Not to defend the USAf too much here, but such stupid moves smells of “congressional pressure”. We must remember the reason for 1) the corn shortage, and 2) the mortgage debacle. Both were instigated by “ideas” created by two classes of people who are at the bottom of the IQ pile: liberal arts profs, and members of the senate/congress.

“You forgot: ...kill people and break things — from 30 000 feet.”
30,00 feet! Heck, I sat 60 feet underground in North Dakota and was tasked to kill people and break things 6,000 miles away!
Reach out and touch someone!

“Time to disband the Air Force.”
General McPeak started that process back in the early 1990’s.

just another round of finding ways for the rich to get richer..... Where did that bit of class envy originate? It is the leftists who foisted that BS on industry. Would you care to identify the "rich" who became "richer" responding to this asinine mandate from government leftists?

The Air Force can’t replace its ageing planes and is smaller now than it was before WW II.
And it’s got time and money to spend on this?
Somebody needs to be fired.

i guess since you took such offense to that comment that you must be one of the rich getting richer off the working class american....bottom line it is the working american that pays more in the end isn’t it? but then again it must be my imagination that it costs more to fill my gas tank up and leave the store with almost 1/2 of what i used to get for the same dollar amount....

So far I have read junk science on our carbon footprint, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, absorption rates of CO2 in sea water. I have looked at graphs depicting historic temperatures as captured in ice cores. But I still am looking for a comprehensive analysis that defines the problem and the source. Is it related to sun spots, orbital aberrations of the earth or a slow accumulation of CO2 in the atmosphere? Or both. Or unknown cause. If the Airforce can do this, go for it.

My new theory is that Bush came out and reversed his climate change positions of the past in exchange for the democrats funding the Iraq war through the end of his Presidency.

I've really had it with this BS. We had 6 years of repubLICKans running the house, senate, and white house and they did nothing - NOTHING - to crush this liberal BS. Now the liberals have the house and senate, the repubLICKans continue to caputulate. Newt, Dubya, and the rest can all go to h***. Bunch of worthless scum. Actually they have done somthing. They've managed to really piss off about 180 million people. Those that aren't PO'd over this entire state of affairs, are most likely on the government payroll, government pensions, or they employ low wage illegal labor, and make good profits.

If we *really* thought our planet was burning up then I think we’d try sowing the upper atmosphere with particles or something to cut down on the inbound radiation.
But of course we don’t *really* believe any of this crap.

I take offense at the phrase "working class American" as if it only applies to hourly wage earners. It's Monday afternoon and I've worked almost 80 hours since last Monday. The federal government sucked $38,000 out of my pocket last year. That socialist progressive income tax really pisses me off. I lose half of everything I earn to taxes. After being tapped to pay government benefits for the minimum wage earners, I still have to buy gas and shop with the same devalued dollar.

why arent you trashing Al Gore?Oh, don't worry - I think he's as useful as boobs on a bull. Maybe less. But that's expected - he's a democRAT. There's no excuse for the behaviour of the latest crop of repubs who have decided to join the enemy rather than fight.
