I wonder who are the three dissenters; maybe Scalia, Alito and Roberts.
To: Aristotelian
It was a 6-3 decision, with even Stevens agreeing and apparently writing the decision. I understand Scalia wanted even a broader ruling in favor of documentation, God bless him.

Good....
Now this can be used as the standard template across the nation.
As Indianapolis’s 2007 Mayoral Election proves.
VOTER ID WORKS!!!

That's why I'm keeping my 'broken-glass Republican' status and will hold my nose and vote for McCain in November. If we can get two more justices appointed, we just might be able to turn this country back from the liberal edge. McCain? Conservative SCOTUS justices? Approved by his liberal Democrat buddies? Bwa Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha............

All right! I’m really glad to hear this. All over the country, the Dems are dragging out winos from the local hobo jungle and giving the identities of long-dead grannies. Not to mention the many vacant lots all over the US that are casting a Dem vote every election.

Just another mean-spirited plan to intimidate potential Black voters.

Warren Rudman is a close adviser to McCain and he gave us Souter. That is all you really need to know about McCain appointees. If that fails to convince anyone, they should review the “Gang of Fourteen” fiasco.

All of those empty lots vote by “Absentee” Ballot now.
It’s a loophole so big you can drive a Democrat Election Van through...

McCain? Conservative SCOTUS justices? Approved by his liberal Democrat buddies? Bwa Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha............ I agree, definitely they wouldn't be conservative in the Scalia sense, however they will be MUCH MORE conservative than any justice appointed by either Hillary or Obama. All other nonsence aside, one of these three will be the next president, so I like my chances with a SCOTUS pick or two from McCain, instead of Hillary appointing the 'bent one'

That’s very true. We have the technology to match up addresses with valid, inhabited addresses, and I think this is one thing that should be employed. In certain wasteland cities such as Detroit, with multiple winos and crackheads registered to the same non-existent address, the vacant lot vote could be pretty significant.
