By taking federal funds - something they intend to do, campaign manager Rick Davis told a closed-door meeting of chiefs of staff on Capitol Hill last week - McCain will receive $84 million. In he were the nominee, Obama is on target to raise at least twice that.

"And McCain sincerely believes in campaigning everywhere."

So, McCain's strategy is to a.) expand the battlefield, then b.) campaign with half the resouces.

In the face of such brilliance, why am I sensing that we face an electoral disaster?

Keep in mind, the same people who backed gun-grabbing, abortion worshipper RINO Giuliani are now backing McCain.

The Rooty-Retreads are obsessed with religious cleansing of the Repub party AND they are the architects of the current admin's most-failed policies including amnesty and the trillion dollar bleeeding of US treasure into Mideast hellholes.

When Giuliani's campaign flopped like a blowout on a beatup jalopy with cheap tires......the Rooty Retreads removed Rudy's leash, and went knocking on McCain's door and are now giving McCain his orders.

Watch McCain when he talks about giving the SW back to Mexico (amnesty), the Hundred Year War, and kicking conservatives to the curb. McCain's posture actually changes---like his leash is being tightened.

================================

McC is on high alert---the longer he dilly-dallies, the longer he refuses to see the light, the more expensive the price will be. Under no circumstances will McC get conservative support UNLESS he loses dual loyalty Mexican Juan Hernandez--his Aztlan coordinator. McQueeg gets conservative grassroots support when hell freezes over. We will concede nothing. McC must move 100% in our direction....or else

...If McCain loses the 5% of extreme right wing nutjob freepers by not pandering to them, who cares? It’s quite obvious that they’d rather see terrorists blow up the WH and kill hundreds of thousands of Americans, than to see McCain president (and that is exactly the scenario we’d witness if their newly annointed hero Obama gets in)...

Eventually, you will come to find out that there are more than 5% 'nutjob' rightwingers who won't vote for McCain, nor do they want Hillary, OR Obama - they are sick and tired of eating $hit from so-called conservative politicians.

You will also find out that your idea that they (the collective '5%' you assume)want another terrorist attack is mistaken also. Where you are mistaken is that voting for ANY of the three available mainstream candidates thus far presented, is tantamount to a terrorist act in itself.

I would only add that McCain won the GOP nomination with no support from conservatives, no money, and typical MSM divisive coverage.

McCain won by sheer determination, his call to duty and his refusal to surrender to his critics.

We may disagree vehemently with his positions on multiple issues, but if it means he carries some congressional candidates into a GOP victory - more power to him.

Should he fail - his detractors can celebrate the inauguration of BO or HRC.

which did not endear them to their supporters

So what will those two do?
One votes for McNuts, and the other votes for B. Hussein?

Get ready for John McCain to run to the Left. Lo and behold - "a different kind of Republican!" Now THAT's unconventional!

Sounds almost as "brilliant" as loser Giuliani's "save myself for Fla" campaign that's achieved cult status as the stupidest strategy in US political history.

Rooty spent $60 million ferociously campaigning (and losing) in every early primary/causus state while SAYING he was "saving himself" for Fla.

In Fla, Rooty campaigned non-stop 61 days straight and came in a distant third.....nitwit walked away with one shared delegate.......from another state.

“McCain will rely on free media to an unprecedented degree..”

Something tells me he’s gonna regret all that free media ‘round about October. At just the point where they’re pulling on the latex gloves for his all-expenses-paid, super deluxe MSM anal exam, he’ll be out of money to respond.

In the north McC will run as a Rockefeller liberal. In the south he will claim to be conservative like Reagan, and in the West he'll run as a Swartzeneggar Republican.

Hmmmmmm.........that's three personalities.

Sounds more like he should be be in intense therapy....in some quiet place that offers basket-weaving.

The Dems are going uot of their way to hand this to McCain. And he’ll go out of his way to give it back. Sooner or later, the MSM hatchets will come out, and the hit-jobs-to-date will look like a puff-piece. The MSM only liked Mc as long as he poked Bush and the pubbies in the eye. If Johnny he thinks otherwise, then he’s to stupid to be president. I really wish he’d go after the Dems the way he goes after Republicans. And once he picks some RINO for veep, he’s toast.

"McCain is the only pro-life candidate of the three"

McCain is not pro-life. Unless your definition of pro-life is wanting to kill millions of unborn babies in one fell swoop instead of one at a time. Lest you forget, he voted for and supports stem cell research.

There will be some on this forum who will do that in the general election. To teach the Republican party a lesson, I suppose.

The vast majority on this forum who cannot, on principle alone, vote for such a fraud of a Republican as John McAmnesty will be writing in a conservative's name.

You can probably count on one hand those freepers who would actually vote for a Democrat.

McCain is an extremely blogger friendly candidate. When everyone was writing him off before the primaries he used these connections to excellent advantage. He’s continuing to do this and it will pay off big in November.

You, my friend, don't have an ounce of common-sense and I sincerly doubt you are a conservative.

And your childish approach to trying to convince principled conservatives to vote for the fraud of a Republican John McAmnesty has the opposite effect than your purpose.

“I wager John McCain’s campaign will be one of the lowest fundraising, above-board in fundraising campaigns this country has seen in a long time.”

Intersting article about that here:
New McCain Fund Gets Around Donation Limits
http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/04/19/new-mccain-fund-gets-around-donation-limits/

The McCain camp is revising ‘campaign finance’ to suit their needs. I understand also, that McCain’s donors are big biz, not individuals.

Back in June, his media team quit because he wasn’t paying them. John needs $$$. Perhaps he can count on the liberals.
