Shuler has the media, and sadly a lot of conservatives, duped into believing that he's an independent/conservative voice within the Democratic Party. It really doesn't say much for conservatives when they keep falling for pitches like these from Democrats. It should be common knowledge at this point that a vote for any Democrat at any level of government is a vote that empowers socialism and everything else we hate.

The NC GOP ad that came out this past week (linking Gov. candidates Perdue and Moore to Obama) is exactly the thing that every state GOP should be doing.

It really doesn't say much for conservatives when they keep falling for pitches like these from Democrats. It's the job of the RNC and the congressional campaign committee, to advertise to the public that pretensions of moderation by any Democrat is a fraud on the public.
Problem is, the RiNO's don't want to politick to conservative voters at all, which is why Rahm Emanuel's "phony-moderate" election scheme worked in the first place.

Exactly, great post!!
Too bad we are stuck with yet another appeaser like McCain. He is no better than the worst of the blue dogs on any given day.
We desperately need RR II,a David Petraeus,Mitt or Fred, anyone but McCain.
Oh and don't be surprised if Metro boy Charlie Crist "magically" become VP!! That was always the deal. Crist brought us McCain.

Its not conservatives, its right wing populists, aka cultural populists.
The dems have a good strategy of re-uniting the cultural and economic populists as "moral populists".
Even Huckabee said that he could re-unite them as GOP voters.
