Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean is calling Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain out on the controversial North Carolina GOP ad which link two Democratic candidates in the state to Democrat Sen. Barack Obama's by now infamous Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Dean is framing it as a test of McCain's leadership...

Obama has also tried to frame it as a test of McCain's leadership.

But Howard Dean and Barack Obama should/need to realize that unlike the Democrat Party which is highly authoritarion and dictatorial in that it is a top down party, the GOP is not a top down political party.

McCain should also take note and butt-out of what the NC GOP does. Republicans in that state decide who leads them, and they get to say what the NC GOP leadership should and should not do.

Not you, McCain.

BTW, since Howard Dean's leadership right now is being shown to be weak and pathetic (in the eyes of Dems, according to what they are saying concerning the debacle going on between Hillary and Obama in the nomination process) Howie seems to be trying to shift the focus onto McCain.

Nice try, Howie.

Howard Dean and the DNC need to mind their own business since they can’t even run their own primary without making a mess of it.

The ad must be working for them to be complaining about it.

This was inevitable. If I were McCain, I’d say - I’ll shpw you leadership... run the ad throughout the country.

These Demagogues are such SCUM! That is a perfectly honest and innocuous ad. It tells the truth about the Demagogues and so they can’t stand it.

The real “test of leadership” is when the MSM will call out Dean and Obama and all of the Demagogues on Obama’s cozy ties to such rabid America-hating fanatics as Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Michelle Obama’s terrorist funders, et al.

How about that, Howie Dean? When will YOU prove your “leadership” by purging the ‘Rat party of all the terrorist funders and terrorist sympathizers, unrepentant terrorists like Ayers and Dohrn, racist Demagogues like Wright and Farrakhan, etc. etc.

Yes, like I said, Howie, Obama and the DNC need to butt out.

But John McCain should butt out, too.

Honestly, McCain does not get it. In fact, he doesn’t care that the party is not top down. He intends to change that.

I have a surprise for him.

Want leaders? Try Pelosi, Ried and Dean. Want better leaders? Try Curly, Larry and Moe.

McCain would have been better off by saying it’s a free speech issue (which it most certainly is). Instead, he let his hatred for the Republican Party take charge of his mouth.

Hey Howard—The Screeeeeeeem—Dean, when McCain puts out his ads against your nominee, this North Carolina ad will look like a You Tube cell phone video. Until then, he will hold his fire until there is one candidate to worry about.

Dean is framing it as a test of McCain's leadership...

Smartest thing that I've seen Dean do in years.

Any way that you cut it, McCain's stance is going to be a political weakness and Dean and the rest are going to pin him on it.
Either way, McCain gains nothing and the dems lose nothing.

Either McCain has the power to do more than bitch - he does not, thank God - and has a chilling effect on those who dissent from his view, or he does not, and he is shown to be weak.

If McCain had the power to stop all of this from any republican you can bet your last dollar that the author of McCain/Feingold would shut them down in the blink of an eye.

Congress shall pass no law restricting freedom of speech.

Will Howard Dean or Lord Obama be making a statement soon about the Soros funded 527s which are already attacking McCain? Or the Moron.org 527s who are already attacking GOP House members?

If the DNC/Obama want to start a new standard by which all 527s are not only condemned by the party/candidates but also they are no longer coordinated WITH the campaigns (as if it didn’t happen in 2004...), then I’d be happy to suggest McCain sign onto that ‘campaign finance reform’.

But until then, the leftists are going to dump one billion dollars into destroying McCain and the GOP candidates and anything which doesn’t move us towards stopping THAT does not draw my interest.

Good post.

Howard Dean is inadvertently revealing that his, the Democrat-ick Party, is the Plantation Party.

Does Howard Dean ever see the back of his own head?

From the blog post:

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean today issued the following statement calling on McCain to exercise real leadership and pull the plug on this ad:

"This is a test of leadership for John McCain. If he can't pick up the phone and make members of his own party stop airing a television ad he claims to oppose, how can he lead our country through an economic crisis or the war in Iraq? After shifting his positions on gun control, immigration and tax cuts throughout this campaign, McCain should not equivocate on this issue. Making a show of releasing your emails to the press is not leadership. If he is serious, he will get this ad pulled."

---------

Right. Kneecapper Hillary and Barack Wright.

Preach on Brother Howie! Do tell!
