I was just waiting for the Republican to show up.
There is no white knight on a charger riding to the rescue this time. We're stuck with political dregs from the bottom of the barrel no matter who gets handed the big chair.
Maybe by 2012 conservatives will have suffered enough to actually fight for one of their own.
Not likely, but hope springs eternal.

Eventually creating new U.S. voters out of illegal immigrants will truly kill off both the Republican Party and all of U.S. conservatism. Only another eventual civil war where conservatives win could truly turn things around for U.S. conservatism.
