McCain thinks he is the main attaction and the Republicans running for congress and state offices are a sideshow.
The reverse is the case.

I have no problem with McCain who, with his staff and National Republican contacts, seems to doing a surprisingly good job on keeping to the high ground despite all on the left trying to plow him under.
My problem is with Limbaugh who, in his hang-ups on McCain, seems utterly incapable of seeing that a Presidential candidate must aspire to be a President of all 300 million citizens of this great nation - instead of being a ideologue for only one segment.
After going through 5 1/2 years in a hellhole of a North Vietnamese prison/torture chamber, I don't think McCain is ever going to be Limbaugh's man. Yes, that's a pretty unique experience, indeed.
More power to McCain. Condolences to Rush - he needs a good wife at this time in his life..

McCain will do everything he can to sell out the sovereignty of the USA—including swamping the USA with illegals.

We have 6 months till the election. I say throw them all out and start over.
I keep having this fantasy that we do just that. I just wish it would come true.

No one can be all things to all people. Then they end up being nothing to anyone.
Besides, McCain is NOT trying to be anything to conservatives, only to the left and middle. We know exactly what his ideology is - that's the problem.

I’ll vote for him too, but I’ll definitely have to shower afterwards.

Newsflash for you: illegals aren’t going anywhere no matter who is elected. Better start concentrating on issues that really matter like the War on Terror.

If McCain doesnt pick Romney, Sanford or Pawlenty as his running mate, Im going to find it difficult to vote for him. How does Pawlenty fit into that mix?
I'm afraid he may pick "independent" Joe Lieberman...what would that team be known as?

Well said. Here in Michigan, the balloon will eventually pop. It’s unfortunate that the Michigan GOP is so weak and has become so “un-conservative”. We trot out guys like Dick DeVoss, very nice gentleman and would be a good governor, but he doesn’t have the charisma to be elected against someone like Granholm. We need to convince someone like L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive, to run. However, I don’t think he’s interested in the anal exam that would unfold. A couple of skeletons there I think.
