A coalition of environmental groups is targeting the U.S. Senate race in New Mexico to help swing that seat into the Democratic column.

The coalition plans to help Democrat Tom Udall in the race against the winner of the Republican primary, either Steve Pearce or Heather Wilson.

The coalition says voters already are talking about what they pay at the pump while oil companies rake in record profits.

Elise Annunziata of Clean Water says the issues of energy policy and gas prices cut across party lines.

She says voters can draw their own conclusions from the candidates' records.

The coalition will combine ads and door-to-door conversations to help Udall.

On the other hand, they are busy opposing any attempt by oil companies to drill new areas here in NM. Santa Fe county has a moratorium on drilling and last night Rio Arriba County also instituted one. Now I have no problem with the enviro-wackos shivering in the dark, I just don't want them making me be cold and without lights.

CedarDave-

It's tough to live in a third world state. I apologize I can only assist your fight from exile!

Ask this pinko the following question; how much of the known oil reserves do the Big Oil Company own:

a) 10% b) 50% c) 100% d) 125%

D is a trick answer to see if she is an absolute moron as it is impossible to have over 100%. The answer is "a" only 10%. Big oil ain't so big. Environmentalist own more reserves in the sense they have prevented so much drilling. BIG Environmentalist are the problem!

The GOP should run ads stating the fact that gasoline prices have gone up $1.18 since the rats took over congress in 2006.
