Not all of us are this addled but it seems many are. That's the problem.

The only reason I said ‘if we as a people’ is because it begins to look as if the public of the United States, the We The People, are collectively losing it.
I realize many of us haven’t, but the end result will be the same as if every one of us had lost it.
You, I, and others have to find a way to turn this around.
