25 mothers taken from FLDS ranch now believed to be minors
SAN ANGELO, Texas — Twenty-five mothers staying at a shelter for children taken from a polygamists' compound are now believed to be minors.
Child Protective Services spokesman Darrell Azar says the girls initially claimed to be adults but are now believed to be under 18. The girls are in state custody.
The discovery takes the number of children taken from the ranch controlled by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to 462. The number has been climbing since the state swept all the children off the ranch nearly three weeks ago.
Of the children taken into custody, roughly 260 remain at the San Angelo Coliseum. The others were bused to foster facilities around the state.ate.
"A three-year-old girl cries aloud, long and hard for approximately one and a half hours until she is hoarse and falls asleep. She keeps crying out her mother's name. Her mother was gone to an out-of-state appointment when the raid happened, and has been trying to get into the shelters where her children are, but has not been able to yet.
11:00 pm The little three-year-old is coughing hard and wheezing badly. CPS is notified and they have decided to send her to the hospital on an ambulance.

Three-year-old taken to the hospital.
Ambulance team cannot go anywhere [Tornado warning] so they have started an albuterol nebulizer treatment on the three-year-old girl.
Word comes that the tornado warning is cleared. The ambulance carrying the three-year-old leaves shelter #1, headed to the hospital. CPS workers allow one caretaker to go with the child.
CPS is asked, "Will you allow her mother to meet her at the hospital?" "Absolutely not!" was the emphatic answer. "The state has custody of this child. No one else can be there."

Three-year-old frightened, homesick, The little three-year-old who had returned from the hospital begans to cry again tonight. After a half hour she is still crying.
Her sister kneels beside the cot trying to comfort her, but she just cries louder, "Mother! Mother!"
Realizing that the whole room of people is affected, a caretaker picks her up and carries her out by the bathroom, hoping that the crying will not be heard as well.
Passing by concerned CPS workers the caretaker simply says, "She is missing her mother." The caretaker tries to get the sobbing girl interested in something out the window, but to no avail. Someone comes and tells the caretaker that the crying girl is disturbing everyone, so they walk into the bathroom.
The caretaker succeeds in quieting the little girl long enough to get her to take a sip of water now and then, but then the crying starts again. This continues until the little girl is exhausted and falls asleep in the caretaker's arms. The caretaker carries the three-year-old back to her cot and lays her down. Pulling the blanket up over her head, the little girl cries, "They're going to get me." Several times through the night the girl wakes up crying, "They're going to get me! They're coming to get me!" (meaning the CPS workers.)

was that the statistic? that there was a shortage of very young boys? not just boys in general?

How do they know they are minors? These bureaucrats are just trying to cover there rear-ends because they are starting to get big pressure to prove that they did a good thing by snatching 430+ kids.
At this point they have lost all credibility. Show us the proof — not inuendo and accusation.
Anybody who would steal a 13 month old from its Mother hiding behind a wall of police men (some of which probably find the role sorely distasteful), when there is no sign of any abuse by the Mother, isn’t fit to take care of a Dog never mind the State’s kids. No wonder the Foster Home system is such a joke.

You know what your post proves?
A little 3 yr old crying out, “They’re going to get me!” just proves how early the FLDS cult mother’s and the rest of the stinking FLDS cult start brain washing these children. It starts a birth. The mothers condition these children from the start and when the time comes they gladly hand off their young 13 year old daughters to the ol’ men.
This child at 3 yrs old is already terrified on outsiders (non-FLDS) due to the FLDS cult brainwashing.
BTW... you still have not explained the 3 children in the Carolyn Jessop/Young picture. If that is Carolyn Jessop then why does she look 17 in the picture with her 3 children? Surely she is not 20 yrs old in that picture.
Rape of a minor aside, which the State of Texas has established according to our law, how smart is it for a woman or man, I won't give them the status of parents, to teach a child to give a false name to law enforcement?

Not all children are birthed alive so there might be some there. Someone sent me an article regarding that the number of little boys taken from the ranch was higher than reported. I would just like to know the number of boys vs girls under apx 4 years of age.
