Too bad Rush and his acolytes are doing their damndest to throw the nomination to the Hildebeast.

This is obvious. It has been obvious for weeks.

Clinton is posturing herself as a centrist. She knows she can’t win the left wing of the party so she has to be a DLC centrist and persuade the superdelegates who want to win . . . Of The Truth.

The Truth is Independent Moderates win elections. She is painting herself more moderate than Obama and will thus be able to take Independent Moderate votes from the “independent maverick” McCain.

If you care about abortion and who is nominated to the USSC, if you care about maintaining a troop contingent on the 3rd largest light oil reserves In The World and if you care about some moderating influence on the effort to spectacularly raise taxes in 2010 — then you need to do what you can to get Obama nominated so McCain’s chances are better.

Whatever.

Rush has played the democrats beautifully.

Do the democrats really want Puerto Rico having the final say in all of this?

No matter who the Democrat nominee is, we want to ensure there is as much rancour and ill-will as possible on the Democrat side. We need Democrats to say, “My guy/gal lost, so I’m going to vote for John McCain!” That is the only way McCain can win.

Every Democrat I know (which isn’t many) hates Hillary and they will not vote for Obama. They told me that they are voting McCain.

I believe that. McCain is a Democrat, scandals and all. If he were not confused and unable to handle questions, he would do especially well with Democrats.

McCain may win no matter who the final Democrat for POTUS is. It’s actually the political makeup of the next Congress that’s truly more important in determining the future of the U.S. as a country. A Democratic majority in both Houses of Congress will truly damage this country for the long-term.

I still think Hillary might run as an independant.

“Obama’s support seems increasingly concentrated among African-Americans and educated liberals.”

How you you be truly “educated” and be liberal?????

Obama is definitely less of a threat. His support comes many from the ignorant young, the far left liberal elite and blacks. If he gets nominated, Hillary will never run as a VEEP. In all probability she and her viperous husband will do everything possible to torpedo him so she can run again in 4 years.

If Hillary gets nominated, she will pull out all the stops INCLUDING promising Obama ANYTHING to get him to run with her. The Clinton Political Apparatus is probably the most potent political cabal since Caesar, Pompey and Crassus.

Pray Obama gets it and pray McManiac keeps his mouth and temper under control and STOPS criticizing people who support him.

Clinton is posturing herself as a centrist.

I think a re-examination for this is in order. Frankly, Sen. Klinton has not changed any of her stances, but when compared to Obama, she actually seems more responsible and thoughtful!

I actually think Obama would be the easier candidate to beat. He has a political glass jaw.

McCain is polling ahead of Obama in Florida and Ohio. He is also ahead in Nevada and New Hampshire, and in a dead heat in Colorado and New Mexico. Obama also loses to McCain in Missouri and Virginia. On the other hand, Clinton is ahead of McCain in Ohio and much closer or even slightly ahead in Florida.

Nothing to do with the thread really, but somebody posted this earlier and it’s a pretty funny parody of the “fight” between Obama and Clinton.

“My guy/gal lost, so I’m going to vote for John McCain!”

Preferably they would just sit out the election. Let the down ticket Dems feel it too.

Rush has played the democrats beautifully.

If Rush dropped Operation Chaos right now, I might agree with you.

At this point, however, the mission as he described it originally is accomplished. Hillary isn't dropping out.

However, the more he helps her win the remaining states, the better her chances of getting the superdelegates on her side and taking the nomination.

And, while I have no doubt there will be a certain level of resulting rancor if that happens, there will be the same level of rancor no matter which Dem wins at this point.

So, really, he needs to let the damaged Obama limp to the finish line and not risk the much more formidable Clinton getting the nomination.

Yes, well, if he keeps this up, I might consider contributing to Hillary's campaign, as would other Floridians, Texans, Mississippians and Alabamans who've been hit by hurricanes both named and not named  Katrina, and couldn't be sicker of this excrement:

McCain slams Bush's Katrina relief

I fail to see why Rush supporters and haters around here are so convinced that OC has had anything whatsoever to do with this. In a few heavy republican counties, maybe a few hundred Rs switched registration to D. It is a lead pipe cinch that the total number of registration jumpers is statistically insignificant compared to the difference in voting patterns that would have occurred without OC.

At any rate, the Dems hardly need Rush’s help to form a circular firing squad. It happens all the time, only this time it’s much more pronounced and it pits their two biggest constituents against eachother: liberal soccer moms v. urban blacks. Throw in a mix of yahoo leftists Code Pinkers for Obama (who frankly are totally irrelevant in the end, but do make for bad press), and you have a nice little party set up for Denver.

Either one of these losers are easy enough to beat. Rush isn’t trying to throw this to Hillary, he’s trying to prolong the nomination process so the liberals are at one anothers throats for longer. The longer they fight, the less time they’ll have to go after McCain. Their energies will be spent on one another. Haven’t you heard that it is mathmatically impossible for Hillary at this point anyway? If she were to pull a few miracles out, then maybe she could get the popular vote, but the delegate count is out of her reach. This is ripping the dems apart, and its brilliant.

If Hillary starts to get close, then the strategy changes and Rush tells everyone to vote Obama.

Are you super excited and motivated to vote for McCain?
