MANASSAS, Va. (AP) - Prince William County supervisor Frank Principi says he will propose that the county repeal a policy that directs police to check the citizenship or immigration status of criminal suspects they believe might be in the country unlawfully.
Principi is the first member of the board of supervisors to challenge the enforcement element of the county's recent crackdown on illegal immigration. The crackdown was approved in October, when Principi was not on the board. The policy denies services to illegal immigrants.
Since the policy took effect in March, the county jail has become more crowded and police have asked for video cameras in patrol cars to protect officers from allegations of racial profiling.
Supervisors voted Tuesday to cut more than $3 million from the next budget that was to be allotted for the cameras and enforcement of the policy.

Cry me a river, Principi! What’s the matter, you have illegals cutting your lawns and vacuuming your carpets? Afraid of being caught?
Bye Bye Mr. Principi. We in the PW County Republican Party will work towards your ouster.
Sounds like the feds and the local Dem thugs / pro-shamnesty idiots with corporate America’s blessings have ‘The Surpervisor” bent over - wrists shackled, and applying the ‘rod of correction’....IOW, encourage him and the local gov to do so or lose their jobs.
Some businesses that cater to the illegal population must have slipped this supervisor some cash to buy his support.
BTT!

“Supervisor Demands The Law Not Be Enforced: Calls For Treason”
Principi should be in jail with the illegals.
Man’s a slow learner.
I’m just curious -has the County saved any money since adopting this policy? How thoroughly has the policy been adopted? Have any of the bureaucrats thwarted implementation?
Treasonous behavior!!
It was just one little helicopter ride.
Ping!
I live 40 minutes away, so all I know comes from local new coverage. But it's my understanding that the policy has been a great success. Many illegals have packed up and moved out of the county. Longtime residents note that rental houses that were once jammed with residents now are empty. Streets once almost impassible from junk cars and trucks are also open now. I have not seen crime statistics since the policy was implemented but I imagine arrests are far fewer.
