Few idealizers of the 1850s would voluntarily subject themselves to 1850s standards of medical care.

Who is idealizing 1850s medical care? I think the comment was saying that modest fashion styles from the past may be preferable over the trashy fashions of today.

NO, no, not that. We want our kids to look like the street walkers in hollywood and to have kids out of wedlock so they conform to government wishes.

And it’s possible to be modest without being trussed up like a turkey.

My girls dress modestly, as do I. I sew much of their clothing, but I use pretty, SOFT fabric, suitable to the season.

Those children are forced to wear heavy long johns during the whole Texas summer.
