This year commemorates the 93rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. In 1915, the ottoman empire under the auspices of the young turks carried out the first genocide of the 20th century and set a precedent for all future genocides.
One and a half million Armenians were systematically massacred as they were evicted from their homes onto the merciless deserts of eastern turkey and into the darkness of the Black Sea.

Let us always remember. Every day for over 1300 years Christians have been brutally violated by adherents to the Islamic ideology. The first genocide of the 20th century must be remembered and the perpetrators must be brought to justice.

Where do you propose that we find these Ottomans, to bring them to justice?

After 93 years, the perpetrators are long since dead. What will you do? Punish their grandchildren?

Recognition of the genocide. That is a minimum.

Apart from a few thousand who are left, every single vestige of Christianity was wiped off the map of Asia Minor aka the parastate of Turkey. A complete devastation and annihilation of the Christian population.

Consider what has happened to be a warning about the dangers of Islamofacism. All that is needed is accepting what has happened and not deny history.

After 93 years, the perpetrators are long since dead. What will you do? Punish their grandchildren? 93 years later, descendants of theirs are oppressing and murdering Christians wherever there is a Muslim majority
The Ottomans were just following Islam
To: Biggirl
You are right. It has happened over and over again. Consider 3 + million dead and victimized in Southern Sudan in the past 25 years. The millions in Asia Minor aka Turkey.
But bottom line is that Islam will never recognize what they do: it’s part of their ideology to destroy the “infidel”.

Exactly, Asia Minor was really the birthplace of Christianity, the Churches at Philadelphia and Constantinople were ancient Christian centers, along with Alexandria..
All gone now though, the Turks acted shamefully, to this day they deny it was a genocide, which is absurd.

After 93 years, the perpetrators are long since dead. What will you do? Punish their grandchildren? Recognize that it happened, that's a necessary step in the direction of prevention.
Support the Aremenian's attempts to secure payment of insurance policies and bank accounts. Companies shouldn't be allowed to deny heirs on the theory that the victims have been basking on the Riviera or in the Caribbean the last 93 years.

Well, then write the Turks about it.
The Turks are well aware of their bloody past. They spend hundreds of millions trying to falsify history and buying their way out of this.
They will acknowledge their deeds only when the world holds them accountable.

Absolutely right. In addition to millions being killed, every single Christian had his/her property stolen and given to Turks. Compensation and restitution should be a major part of the resolution.

After 93 years, the perpetrators are long since dead. What will you do? Punish their grandchildren? God forbid you say that about “the Holocaust”.
“The Holocaust, yeah its been over 60 years we should forget about it”
You are not allowed to forget about the Holocaust, but the Armenian Genocide, Whats That?

Look, it’s difficult enough that everyone thinks we (the USA) are supposed to be the world’s policeman and bank. We cannot also be responsible for actions other nations took nearly 100 years ago and make them right. History if FILLED with genocides. Must we make those right too? Well, we can’t.

In everything, victory!
I'm asking God to discredit Islam soon. May we be prepared to offer Christian alternatives when that system of control collapses.
