In his upcoming biography of Jesus, "Basic Instinct" director Paul Verhoeven will make the shocking claim that Christ probably was the son of Mary and a Roman soldier who raped her during the Jewish uprising in Galilee.
An Amsterdam publishing house said Wednesday it will publish the Dutch filmmaker's biography of Jesus, "Jesus of Nazareth: A Realistic Portrait," in September.

This goes beyond mere trash. Look at the trend: this movie, the Da Vinci Code...these are a direct assualt against not only Jesus, but Mary as well. I rather suspect demonic activity behind all this.
And the evidence to support the virgin birth is what?
Faith, only faith makes it possible to believe. Maybe film makers should just leave other people's faiths alone. Then the Muslims would be happy and so would the Catholics.
This typical liberal coward will never dare to make such a think about islam.
Brave liberals are too much concerned with their own shamefull life...
Never mind that kind of guy are only showing their sad faces of uneducated cowards...
Thank you both.
It’s a rehash of the gnostic Gospel of Judas..every 10 to 20 years or so there is a TV special or a book that comes out proclaiming about the “new” discovery of this particular
“gospel”. They had a series of specials about it on the National Geographic channel in 2006 as though the book had never been discovered before. I first read a translation of “Judas” 20 years ago.
If your faith is so flimsy that The Da Vinci can even be considered an “attack”, you have much deeper problems than assaults on your faith.
Another jackass stupid M Effer trying to stir up controversy by stating a personal, idiotic opinion as if he has ever read a book in his life.
This Paul Verhoeve clown writes something very derogatory towards Christianity and gets a pass.
Had this ass clown written something nearly as bad about Islam he’d be killed.
Perhaps Christians need to start taking out some of these fools that are so course towards their religion.
Accomplish two things, make these morons understand there is a result in their garbage, and also show Mooselimbs how stupid they are.
“The author of which has said that he wrote a fiction story, believes none of it, and that he never intended for anyone to believe it and start a religiuos movement based on it.
Yep, a lot of demonice activity there. [/sarc] “
That’s what all bomb throwers do....throw the bomb, then walk whistling away, hoping the concussion and shrapnel doesn’t reach them when the blast occurs.
Well Brown must have had an attack of conscience and fear when he realized just what kind of controversey he stirred up!
Wrong side of the bed this morning? Of course it’s an attack, just as is The Golden Compass and this latest offering. And no, my faith isn’t shaken by such nonsense, but one is truly myopic if they don’t notice a trend.
I don’t think he intended to throw a bomb at all. You know, it is possible to just write a story.
It isn’t an assault on the poster’s faith, the movie was an assault on a religion in an attempt to rock the foundation of faith.
The movie was a POS conspiracy movie. Like all good conspiracies, it took grains of truth and interpreted them to build the conspiracy.
But I guess if Christians are insulted and disgusted, then our faith is weak? BS. I’m a Christian and I’m damned tired of being insulted by these pukes who don’t have enough brass in their sacks to sink a fishing line.
So you think. I don’t think the Da Vinci code was an attack at all. The Golden Compass, sure, and this new film, sure. Both of their authors have said as much.
Let’s drop the personal stuff. The author’s motive is unimportant. It’s the trend. I suggest that however unwittingly, Brown is part of it.
Then we’ll disagree on that point. I see Brown’s book as part of a larger trend that has been intensifying over the last few decades. If Brown didn’t intend to be a part of it, then he is a classic ‘useful idiot’.
That's the funniest line I've read here in weeks.
To write a story plausible enough that persons will buy
it, involves a certain amount of personal study, research, as well as personal insight as to how one might find one’s own writ interesting if it were written by another writer.
Brown and his editors are not stupid or else the publisher would not have advanced the money to publish the book.
