While I think Jimmy Carter is a scumwaffle, he is not to blame for this mission failure. He did send it in, but his failure to treat Iran as a necessary evil that needed to be destroyed and his lack of foresight in the threat from Iran...well, that is why I blame Jimmy Carter for 9/11, it emboldened the terrorists from way back in 1979.

Plus, it was the Iranian founded Hizbollah that killed the Marines in Beirut in 1983, too.

No, not really any of that. It would have gone off well.

It would have gone off better if ONE service had all the eggs to do it, but, what was there would work.

One factor most people don’t know, is that the aircraft they trained in were NOT the aircraft that were flown off the Nimitz. The ones they trained in were flown to death and made right in Yuma, they were top of the line by the time they got the word
